    Bevog Oatmeal Stout

Great beer selection. Beers from around the world. Drank a West Coast ipa from Denmark. Then, drank an Austrian oatmeal stout. It had my favorite IPA, Lagunitas, but why drink it in Vienna. Lol. Nice place, just not a lot of ambiance. A bit sterile. But the beer selection was wide-ranging so easily 4 stars.

When I'm not sampling local fare in a new country.. I always seem to try burgers wherever I go. This place was perfect because it had a weekday lunch deal for a burger, fries, and beer for 10 euro. I sat at the bar and service was prompt. They have a handful of Austrian beers on tap.. I chose the Pilsner which went down smooth. I ordered the blue cheese burger which came with aioli and caramelized onion.. so much cheese.. it was the perfect messy burger! A good place to fulfill any hunger pangs .. a small walk off the tourist path.. so not too busy.

I can't praise this restaurant enough. They're extremely welcoming to everyone including English speakers with full English menus. The lunch special is fantastic, you can choose any food item along with any beer for 10 euros. The beer selection is massive and wide ranging. I suppose the variety doesn't quite matter as much as the taste but the food quality is also amazing. I got a chicken fajita bowl and the portion was hearty and delicious. If you stop you surely will not be disappointed

Burger and beer selection was great. Definitely a great place to sit in the alley. Good beer, good service.

No, it wasn't the best burger, or the best beer I've had, but it was probably the most impressive list I've ever seen. Mostly EU, few Japanese and a handful of American beers. The atmosphere was great. I agree with the other reviews that service was a little slow, but it got the job done. 10/10 would return.

We understand there a few outposts owned under the Mel's group. Delirium Cafe is also affiliated. The beer choices here were plentiful and the servers are friendly and service was quick.

Mel's is located in a fantastic area. Very accessible from Stefanplatz, but off the main stretch enough that the area is quite and relaxing. Every day, they offer an early bird special where you can get a meal and a 0.25 L tap beer for 10 euros. Their selection of beers and ciders is wonderful and the food was fantastic. I tried the "Jack the ripper" burger. While the burger was slightly more done than I prefer (note it was not overdone by any means), the meal was incredible and I was barely able to finish all the food I was given. The wait staff was very friendly and had no problem with English if you do not speak German. Would definitely return!

Solid beer selection here, including both European and U.S. craft brews! Some good rare bottles and great tap selections. Food is also quite good. The menu includes a variety of burgers, sandwiches, and salads. The pulled pork with chips was tasty and comparable to what I've had in the States.

Found this cozy spot a few blocks off the Stadtpark and figured I'd give it a shot. So glad I did. it was pretty packed when we got ther, we were able to get a high top table after just a few minutes wait. Ordered the beef tartare and schnitzel. Be forewarned, they don't skimp on the portions here. The tartare was delicious and came with a salad and about a half of stick of butter, which was interesting. Schnitzel was big enough to feed at least two people and left me feeling like I had finally experienced a real local meal. Wine was also great and made me wish I could have stayed there drinking it all night. But alas, I had an early flight to catch the next day...

Quite tight seating. Restrooms are not accessible by people with limited mobility. No baby changing stations. The food is okay. The schnitzel was fine and so was lamb. Okay to eat but not memorable. Caprese salad was tasty. In conclusion, if you are passing by and hungry, feel free to stop by. If you are looking for a memorable lunch/dinner experience, plan to visit a different establishment.

A Christmas to Remember at Flanagan's…read more There's something about a good Irish pub at Christmastime. The way the warmth greets you at the door, how the low hum of conversation and clinking glasses wraps around you like an old wool coat. That's what we found at Flanagan's in Vienna, a place where Christmas wasn't just a date on the calendar but something you could feel, deep in your bones. We sat down to a Christmas lunch that was everything a holiday meal ought to be, hearty, rich, and made with care. The kind of meal that sticks with you long after you've left, not just for the taste but for the way it made you feel. The Guinness was poured thick and smooth, a dark ribbon of comfort against the winter cold outside. And dessert? The kind that makes you want to loosen your belt and stay just a little longer. But it wasn't just the food. It was the place itself. The way the lights cast a soft glow over wooden tables worn smooth by time. The way laughter and stories filled the air, like an old family gathering where nobody wanted to leave. My son took it all in, wide-eyed and happy, and that alone made it worth the visit. If you ever find yourself in Vienna on a cold December day, stop by Flanagan's. Order a pint, settle in, and let Christmas wrap around you like an old song you almost forgot you knew.
