I hired this company to take care of several roof vents that needed repair or replacement. The workers were very professional, respectful, timely, and tidy. They showed up when they said they would, began and completed the work quickly, explained what they were doing, showed me the damaged pieces they replaced, removed all debris, and charged a very reasonable amount. They did not try to upsell me on having my entire roof replaced, which actually surprised me. When I do need to have my roof replaced, I will definitely hire this company! read more

In September of '25 I discovered there was a mildew and moisture issue in my crawlspace. I called out a Foundation company who did encapsulate my crawlspace, but they also told me while they were there to call a guttering company. I did not have any gutters on the house and water was pouring into my crawlspace when it rained. I called Melvin T. We are now currently trying to save up to get it redone properly and pay for the extra resulting water damage. We are very pleased with Melvin T Morgan Roofing Company. First, they came and gave us an estimate and told us that we had hail damage which explained why we had leaks from our roof. We contacted our insurance company and got a quote. The insurance company accepted their bid. Then MTM came back and completed the entire roof in one day. They were professional, courteous, and hard workers. They cleaned up everything extremely well. The roof looks perfect! STAY AWAY! All they want is your money. We chose this company for a few reasons: they were close, they seemed nice in their advertisements, and -- the kicker -- they are harmless because, after all, they're a Christian company, right? Surely they will be gracious with people. We were wrong. The estimate, thank you Kevin, was straightforward and smooth. He even gave us a sample book with different-colored shingles on it so we would know what our roof would look like. "There's a picture of what your roof will look like." Made sense. So far, so good. When the day came for the work to be done, it was fast and clean. But...when the roof was finished, the color was considerably brighter than what the "shingle book" promised it would be. It was almost blue-ish instead of the dark grey we wanted. So we called them to inquire. This is where they changed their tone completely -- they stopped being so nice. Here is Part 1: Evading Responsibility. While Evelyn, Kevin, and Delbert (the receptionist and two estimators) made efforts to talk to us, they shared a common thread as they tried to explain themselves: it wasn't their fault that the roof was the wrong color. "The manufacturer, sometimes, has variations in their product." Fair enough. "We also have online tools where you can super-impose the color of a roof onto your house. We also, sometimes, have color meeting with our clients before the roof goes on to make sure that's what you want." Great -- why didn't you tell us that before? Shouldn't you have met with us before the roof went on? Yeah, that online-thing would have been nice! "We're sorry -- there's nothing we can do." Over and over again, "There's nothing we we can do." Our estimator, Kevin, even went as far to suggest that we could paint the shutters, paint the door -- you know, do a lot to fix their mistake. "Yes, there's a lot I can do, but I'm asking what YOU can do." Nada. How kind. When Delbert, estimator #2, came to our house last Friday, he brought with him two large 'boards.' "See, we have these larger boards we bring people so they can see more of the shingle color." He was right -- these boards were approximately 2x2 feet, and accurately show color schemes and variations. When we told Delbert this was the first time we'd seen these boards, he changed the subject and tried to blame the manufacturer. Then he slipped: "Mr. Morgan sent me over here because he knows I would be much more diplomatic than he would." Oh? When I asked him about that, he shifted again, and went back to the boards, and assured us that Melvin T. Morgan Roofing goes above and beyond to ensure the color was right for all of their customers. He cited the many fail-safe methods they undertake. "So what you're saying is that, in our case, you've failed miserably at customer service." He laughed uncontrollably and tried to end our meeting by showing us the contract we signed -- he brought it with him. Nice touch. "I have a copy," was all I could muster, at that point, realizing that we can either pay these jokesters or go to court. Ah, capitalism. So, a week and almost $6,000.00 dollars later, we're stuck. At least we feel that way. So! Save yourselves, people. There are people worthy of our business and money. Melvin T. Morgan ain't one of 'em. read more

This company is not what they claim to be. My wife and I choose them because they advertised themselves as a Christian company on Christian radio. The estimate they gave was initially good, but when the roof went on they claimed it didn't cover putting the siding back on my house. That cost me an additional $2000. I had to call them back for repairs on my house 3 times, and the last one was a vent boot leak which destroyed the textured ceiling in my kitchen. They refuse to repair the damage and the owner won't return any of my calls. DON'T BE FOOLED, this company took my money, did not provide a decent roof, and then ran from the damage they caused. read more
