I have had an account at Wells Fargo bank for years that required a $500 balance to avoid fees…read more recently I logged in to find my balance was around $400 because they changed the rules to require a $1500 balance. They would not refund the fees because I should have read my statements more closely where they claim to have "announced" this change. Then they told me I could avoid fees by increasing my balance to $1500 so I did that. only to find they are still taking fees out because in that first month my average balance wasn't enough based on the number of days I was above $1500. Again no interest in refunding an unfair fee that they literally told me last month I would avoid by adding this money to my account. Guess they wanted me to increase the pot they can steal from. I will be taking my money out tomorrow. fool me twice... I'm out $100.
