Ordered flowers for a funeral, did not look like the photo online. When we called to explain how they looked terrible falling apart and didn't represent the photo online. We were then told that we should've ordered something more substantial and that all the photos online are photoshopped. We then asked if they could send a new bouquet to the recipient, and she said the only way they could do that is if we asked for the flowers back. We paid close to $100 for these and said we could get a 15% discount back. Will not be going through them again which is too bad. read more

He worked with me the entire way, and was able to add in fishing lures to the gentleman's boutonnieres to give it a personal touch. I had quite a bit of anxiety knowing my dresses were a unique shade of red, so I dropped off a swatch of the dresses and Jae matched them perfectly. I grew up in Appleton and have used Memorial Florists over the years without issues. Unfortunately their quality seems to have declined. I ordered a bouquet of fresh flowers in bright spring and summer colors to be delivered to my Mom in the hospital. I spent $40 on the flowers plus delivery and tax for a total of $53. The flowers arrived on time and seemed fresh, but it was basically a bouquet of white daisies with some carnations and a couple of other stems in a plain glass vase. $40 for daisies and carnations? I could have picked up the same thing at the grocery store for $9.99. Perhaps they think they can get away with a lesser bouquet when it is ordered over the phone but I always check with the recipient. This time I saw the bouquet in person when I visited. I will use another florist from now on. P.S. After I ordered my sister warned me she had a problem earlier this year with a half dead Easter lily delivered to my Mom. I love this floral shop! I live in Reno NV but am originally from Appleton and my parents still live there. That means when I order flowers from them I always do it via phone or online- so I choose to support a local Appleton business by choosing Memorial Florists. Today specifically I called them for a flower order for my mom and Paula was extremely helpful and quick with my order. They keep my information on hand (which I didn't realize before!) so they can pull up my address and the address of people I have sent flowers to in the past. I find this extremely helpful and love that they are organized and "get it" to have a system like this. I am always pleased with the prices, quality, and service of this place and will continue to buy my flowers here. read more

Save yourself 5 dollars and contact a local florist. I contacted memorial florists for a funeral. The day before the site of the funeral changed and memorial florists said they could accommodate the change. At the funeral, I could not find the flowers. I had to call AFTER THE FUNERAL and found out that the local florist had not understood the message left for them. Memorial florist offered to have the flowers sent or refund my money. I chose to have my money refunded. 2 weeks later, I find a $5 charge on my credit card. I call memorial florist and was told it was a communication fee service. They refused to refund the $5 even after acknowledging that their communication was impeded by time zones and the accepting florist did not understand the message. Seriously, I am paying $5 for an afterhours phone call that was ineffective. Unprofessional, unethical, and unreliable. Buy local! read more

I went in with a basic price point and color in mind and knowing little else about what I wanted for my wedding flowers. Kayce worked with my husband and me in choosing arrangements that fit exactly the feel we were looking for and at a price we could afford. We got to peek at the flowers the day before the wedding to make sure everything was perfect, and the flowers arrived on time on our wedding day looking gorgeous and smelling beautiful. I would highly recommend Memorial Florists to any other bride in the Appleton area, and especially would suggest working with Kayce. I have ordered flowers for delivery from Memorial Florists for many years! I live in Dallas, and most of my family lives in the Appleton/Neenah/Menasha area. This past time ordered, was like every other... extremely satisfied. I sent my mom a big basked of fuscia impatiens for Mother's Day! My mom continues to tell me how beautiful here impatiens are and texts me photos of the basket hanging outside! And those in the order department, taking the orders, are very helpful, patient, and really seek to make sure the order & the message is special, and their customer is satisfied. I have been there three times this past month. Employees were generally not happy people. The cashier was late 60's/early 70's, real negative low energy and not engaging. My husband just informed me that because he is working out of state and will miss our 39th anniversary he was going to have flowers delivered which he paid for in advance. Then they said he had to pay an extra $30.00 for delivery and we only live a mile and a half away. He cancelled. Pretty ridiculous. We WON'T be shopping there anymore. read more

I was disappointed in the arrangement my friend received but was even more disappointed in the was the handled the situation. They gave me a $15 credit for the $80 I spent. I had to send them pictures of the ugly arrangement so they could argue with me about how pretty it was. Im sure I will get a reply on here stating that they are a "local family shop" and what not.....I don't treat my family like that. I normally don't write review but this place is horrible. I really wish I would have read the reviews for this place. Do not use them. They are rude and they look at you like your an annoyance. After I explained my situation and what was done these people didn't care. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO APOLOGIZE FOR THEIR MISTAKE!! All I wanted was an apology for the mistake. None was given. We spent over $200 on a flower arrangement which was for my grandfather's funeral. Completely disappointed. They were late delivering the arrangement to the church. They made the wrong arrangement even when we personally went to the shop and discussed it with a person. When I called to that Saturday 3/21/15, morning I let them know they sent the wrong arrangement and that it's disappointing since we personally went there to look at their books of flower arrangement. They lady on the phone didn't apologize. Later after that call they sent someone to pick up the arrangement in the middle of the funeral. And sent back the correct arrangement when we went to the burial site. On Sunday 3/22/2015 we went back and the two lady were not apologizing for the mistake made instead they looked taken aback and seemed to not care or offer to even say this was the mistake made instead I had to tell them where they made the mistake. Unfortunately Lori, I believe was not there which was who we spoke with the arrangement. Such a shame, she was kind but the ones on Sunday were not. Jane at the Neenah store is fantastic to work with. I met with her and talked through concepts of what I was looking for in my wedding flowers. I didn't have any concrete desires and she helped guide me. We ended up with a design that turned out so beautifully!! I got SO many compliments on my bouquet and my husband's boutonniere. My flowers were worth every penny spent and I am very happy with how they turned out. The only speed bump was I had asked (and confirmed) that I could pick up the flowers at the Appleton store; however, when I arrived the morning of the wedding, they weren't there. I had to scramble to find someone who could pick them up at the Neenah store. It could have been a lot worse, but not a stress a bride needed on her wedding day. All in all, the experience was great and the flowers turned out so beautifully I will remember them forever! read more

I used Memorial Florists for my wedding flowers in Appleton this last weekend. Our first consultation with memorial florists was easy and the service was very helpful. We made a down payment right away and were excited for our flowers! Then when we went to make our final payment was when we started to have issues. The store had reconfigured our flower contract because "the person who priced you was too low on their estimate." They then proceeded to give us a totally new (and much higher) final payment amount on a contract that we had already signed. It took several days and many hours of phone calls before they understood that we were not going to pay more than what we agreed upon on our signed contract. Was very disappointed in their customer service over the phone and this entire situation. We did get the flowers exactly how we wanted them and the flowers were beautiful. I wanted to send flowers again, but my order was cancelled with an email stating the order could not be processed without a card signature matching the billing address. My father passed away. He LOVED flowers so we bought some flower arrangements for his funeral. We went to the shop personally to select the flowers and even wrote down detailed of what we wanted, time/date and location. The day of the funeral, all flowers from Riverside and 1-800 flowers arrived on time. Memorial Florists flowers were no where to be found! The service had already started an hour before the delivery guy showed up with two tiny flower arrangements (one of which was completely wrong). I was so disappointed. It was already a heartbreaking day for my family, and the flowers we requested and paid almost $300 for were wrong and not professionally arranged. Half way through the service the delivery guy came back and took one of the arrangements away, saying he will go get the right one. Now we did not even have the flower bouquet at the funeral anymore. It looked so empty and sad. I was very pissed off that they did this to my family at such a painful time.
