As a first time shopper, I asked about the return policy and was told it could be returned for in-store credit. The sleeves proved too short, so I tried to return the purchase today. Initially the cashier said there was a 10 day return policy on clothing and refused the return. I explained the information I had been given, but since it was seasonal, she would only make an exception to exchange it for the same clothing item. She referred me to the back of the price tag, which does explain the policy; but what I was verbally told was different. Well, a larger size doesn't have longer sleeves, but since I had no alternative, I made an exchange. I said that as a first time shopper, it didn't give me a good impression of the store. Nothing more was said. (BTW, the item is now on sale for 20% off vs my 10% discount. Bottom line, I thought this might become a store I would shop frequently, but now I will not return. I try to shop local, but with policies like this, it's no wonder larger stores are winning the retail race.

I've used a bunch of different services which sometimes works great but the last couple of times we used larger flower services I found out later they had routed through some of the worst-rated flower shops in the city. One with a literal 1-star Yelp rating that replaced every flower in a $200 exotic design with carnations. At that point I decided it wasn't worth letting them choose the shop anymore since clearly, that was a toss-up. So the last couple of times we have ordered I have looked for flower shops in the area and ordered directly from them instead. WOW was this a good experience! First I love that there was a custom design option, it's great to have the option to add some basic direction for what you are after and trust a designer to make something beautiful out of that. I don't think I've found any other shops that make online ordering with a custom note section for instruction. I love having that option to really pick something special and targeted towards the person you are sending them to. Second I included a nice note for the recipient (which also seemed to have a very generous character limit, some of the past orders barely allow enough room for a name!!), except I forgot to sign the note... The designer pre-emptively reached out to ME and asked who I would like the card signed by, such a great catch and attention to detail. She noticed a problem and reached out, that was amazing. Last the flowers my grandma received are hands down some of the nicest I think I've ever sent her. This was one of the smallest orders I've ever placed since she has a small recovery room and really didn't need a large bouquet, and somehow this still managed to be one of the most beautiful full coverage arrangements she's received (and I've spent triple the amount for half the quality in the past). She even honored my request to send a photo of the finished arrangement so I could send it to the rest of the family who contributed. Solid 5 stars. Without question, fantastic service, fantastic quality, fantastic price.
