Ann was my nurse for my first surgery and remembered me when I returned for my next surgery, taking the time to check on me and make sure I was comfortable even though I was not her responsibility. She is such a genuinely kind person. Dr. Chase is a brilliant man who still treats me like a human and has never spoke down to me in any way, the way I have felt with other doctors. He listened to my concerns and had an answer for everything. I am a student at K-State although I am from Kansas City and have chosen to drive the two hours from home for this delightful experience as I am confident I would not be able to find such competent and caring individuals. Low-level staff, from receptionists to nursing assistants, are dangerously incompetent: They've repeatedly screwed up administrative issues, scratched my cornea, and collapsed my veins due to not knowing how to perform basic surgical tasks, and then refused to fix their harmful failures. This is clearly a hospital whose owners are interested in nothing but maximizing their own profit. Unless you are on the brink of death, avoid Via Christi like the plague. Go to Topeka, Clay Center, KU Med . . . anywhere but this awful, harmful, irresponsible hospital that exists just shy of the legal definition of medical malpractice.

She sent me back to a room which I later left and said I changed my mind. I looked the front desk lady right in the eyes and confirmed "I will not be charged, correct?" she said "no". There was another witness behind her in the area. I also told her throw out my information and she agreed. Yet now 8 months later, I received a bill for $111.24 and I found out that they also illegally billed my insurance for about $200, hahaha. For what I wonder? No services administered, nothing. Violation of consumer protection laws, insurance fraud, and completely scummy behavior. Reported them but please beware. 2
