The new manager is doing a a good jib cleaning up the mess from the last manager. The bell tower is now lit at night and is beautiful. NEXT they need to fix it so it plays music again. The duck pond was well stocked with ducks BUT no Swans. Do miss the swans. Grounds are being kept up better. Roads are getting fixed. Memorial day weekend they had staff on hand to assist with finding plots and handing out flags and surveys. If it continues in this direction in a couple of years it will be a superior place again. I wish I could give this place zero stars. The main roads are nearly impassable and dangerous due to mismanagement and an obvious disrespect for the families who pay a significant amount of money to purchase plots. When you visit a loved one, be sure to bring a wheelbarrow and your own lawn care items because the grounds have been in a state of disrepair for over a decade. If you have mobility issues, don't even bother trying to visit your loved ones and pay your respects because the potholes are so deep it is scary to get through them in even a car. Sadly, the only recourse is to file ADA violation complaints because other complaints are just given lip service with zero intent on fixing the many problems. This USED to be the most beautiful memorial park around. Now it is the butt of jokes and the source of endless frustration. read more

The brass flower vase on my parents headstone was broken off by the mowers I have been trying for 3 years to get them to replace it. the manager has been making excuses every time I come in this year she said she was sending it to corporate to get them to approve it. It's no wonder nothing is done there. The water hasn't worked in at least 3 years and probably a lot longer then that. If you want water you have to go to the pond to get it they have a water there . The city should condemn the roads they are terrible. The cemetery is mostly weeds crabgrass and dandelions.when my parents bought their plots there they talked about how nice it was that was before this company took it over. read more

This spring I was very upset to see tire tracks on the brown grass from 4WD vehicles driving over the grave markers of my family at this cemetery during the snowy months. This cemetery is treated like it's being owned by a slum landlord. The roads are in terrible shape and the pot holes made by front end go out of alignment. read more

it is infuriating that our family grave sites are at Memorial Park. The roads are nearly impassable and the hills are eroding causing markers to sink and break. The old duck pond that was beautiful is now simply disgusting and should just be filled in if they won't fix it. The trees are dying, weeds are everywhere. The sidewalks are now simply pieces of broken apart concrete. Our family paid for perpetual care. The owners and management should be absolutely embarrassed. If it is not improved by this summer (2020) I know of several families ready to take action. I wish the city of Sioux City could take over Memorial Park because their numerous cemeteries are well maintained and improvements have been made continuously over the years. read more

My brother and I were at Memorial Park today to put flowers on our parents' grave. It is disgusting to see the utter neglect and disrespect that the owners of this park have for the cemetery. I remember as a child going to visit the pond and feeding the ducks and swans. It was a beautiful cemetery, so calm and relaxing. Today, the roads are broken pieces of concrete, potholes are everywhere, some parts are barely passable, the grass is overgrown, trees and bushes are not being taken care of; it's just dirty, unattractive and pathetic. My parents would be heartbroken if they could see it today. read more

it has been ten months since my mother's passing ;still they hve not put the year marker on her head stone.twice i was assured it would be installed in two weeks.not a place i'll do business with again.look at the grounds, not very nice any more. read more

The lawn this year has rarely been mowed. Graves have been driven over and markers bent. My son is buried there and if I would have known that Memorial has turned into just a cemetery run by big business, we would have gone elsewhere.
