A historic home is located there with some neat history if you get the chance to stop and read. It's a great place for family photos or wedding/homecoming. My earlier review opinion hasn't changed: Towne is a wonderful park that should appeal to about any age and ability. My greatest criticism of it is that it's just feet from busy Highway 61 and you can't escape the traffic hum, even on the furthest trails. (If you overlook the traffic noise and award Towne five stars I won't argue.) Today I walked the periphery on a series of trails that put me on natural, crushed stone, and asphalt surfaces. They skirted two ponds and went up and down moderate hills. The feature asphalt trail is just over a mile and passes through woods and prairie. Children will enjoy the outdoor classroom that's as much playground as teaching tool.
