I love this thrift store. I can't wait to go back to Kona to go here again. They have a great lies and the people are just great thank you.

When traveling I check out the local thrift stores. This one was the best we shopped at from Kona to Hilo. They had a sale, don't know if it is all the time, $3 for 3 tops or shorts that don't have tags and half off tagged clothes. Bargain! We walked from our condo nearby. The parking is limited and tight. Definitely check it out. Benefits hospice care. read more

Parking is difficult! But they have some beautiful vintage items! The vintage items were displayed very nicely!

Very nice thrift store, clean, organized, great prices. The only problem is I never know when they're open. Wish they were open every day.

Nice stuff! Wish we could have found a large duffle bag or suit case. But they do have a lot of interesting pieces. We scored on a neat water canteen for 2.00. You may find quilts, cookwares and a very organized collection of clothing...some over priced and some just right. Our canteen was priced at 5 but then sold for 2 so there maybe sales we were unaware of. Definitely check out the snorkeling gear if you are near! read more

Three stars doesn't mean this place is bad at all. I always love thrifties no matter what. This place is a great stop for cups, bowls, plates, and.... Hawaiian goods. There is a separate section just for Hawaiian things which also means marked up substantially. I think the two things that can make this place a bit better is marked priced on all items and a bit more organization. I love messy thrift stores but asking prices takes the fun out the hunt. I want to know prices for everything because often the price decides if I buy it. Parking is a bit tight. Go enjoy! read more

Left this place extremely upset. They refused to allow my certified Service Dog in which is illegal and then proceeded to mock me and make insensitive jokes about how I wasn't limping and other such negative comments regarding me having a service animal. Drove in from my home in Hilo and wanted to support the thrift community of Kona only to be unwelcomed and degraded. read more

Didn't make it through the door. Tried to go with my 4 year old, but was told children under 13 were not allowed. Not sure why this is, especially since my daughter wears a mask better than half the adults around here, but I was so offended I just left. He didn't offer an explanation and I didn't waste my time arguing with him. If he doesn't want my money, that's fine. I'll go somewhere else where I can shop with my child. Will not attempt to return. read more

refused to allow entrance for my service animal & then made fun of me, in my presence, with other customers for asking; stating that if i wasn't limping, there was clearly no need for a service animal anyways. went on to say that since they could hear barking (altho not from my dog) that I couldn't possibly have an actual service animal & must be lying. read more

My daughter and I love this place. They have the most unusual cool things there. We bought 7 things there for $9. The people are nice, helpful, and funny. I believe the reason children under 13 are not allowed is because there are many fragile items in the store that can be broken easily. They have some very fragile vintage glasswares, etc. Next time we go back to Kona, we will be back there. read more

Pleasant little spot with lots of quality clothing, some wet suits, some artwork and housewares. Nice staff and a good cause. Take cash in case you spend less than ten bucks. Conveniently located in the heart of town on the main road. read more

They are only letting in 7 people at a time after someone here caught COVID 19 - beware if you are at a higher risk. Social distancing is not enforced (it is a small store). They definitely have the cheapest prices of any thrift store in Kona and it all goes to a good cause. Some designer items are pricier than normal clothes but still very cheap. Mostly women's clothing. Clothing is ordered by color and type. Air conditioned. Parking lot is very small, so you might have to park somewhere else and walk. read more

A notice on this site says the Memory Lane store is closed. This is incorrect. The store is open Monday through Saturday. Parking is difficult but it is worth the effort to wait for a space or walk from nearby parking on Hualalai Road. Weekday hours are 9 a.m. To 5 p.m. Proceeds support Nakamura Hale in Holualoa, a facility to house Hospice of Kona patients. read more

A former 7-11 space, Memory Lane is a small but well laid-out space that squeezes in a surprising amount of inventory. Offerings include men and women's clothing, a good selection of books (including vintage collectibles), household items, jewelry, sporting accessories, the occasional bike, holiday goods and artwork. Best yet, prices are such a steal that I felt a little guilty that I wasn't paying more to support the Nakamaru Hale or Hospice of Kona: A little over $20 netted a paperback on Hawaiian stories, a long-sleeved Island Tat shirt, a lightweight Lucky brand black cotton sweater, and an earring-necklace stone set. And since it was a former 7-11, the thrift store (open six days a week) has reasonable amounts of parking for shopping and/or donation drop-off. read more

I appreciate the hospice connection and the staff are great. Store is clean and well presented. We purchased furniture that was paid for and held until the next day for pick up. When we arrived it was sold to someone else and we had difficulty getting our money back. Could be more organized. read more

This place is a gem. I am a thrifter from way back, and now this is usually the only thrift store I visit weekly. Great stock turns over quickly (if you see something you like, don't set it back down!) and items are clearly priced. Discounts are amazing (senior day on Tues - 25% off!!) and it is clean and cheerful. Staff is incredibly helpful. Parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it to park on Hualalai if necessary and walk. read more

Stopped by here on our last day on the island. Bought some Aloha wear at 50% off that Friday, which helped our wallets as we needed to do some cheap, last minute souvenir shopping for family and friends on the mainland. I appreciated that all the Aloha wear was located together in one section. With the discount, we paid about $3 per item for the Aloha shirts and dress. Different days of the week discount different items. Call ahead to get their discount schedule. read more

This is my favorite thrift store on the island. Great management and volunteer staff and very reasonable prices with special sale days. It's difficult for me to leave the store empty handed, as there is always a special "find". Prices have stayed low, like a thrift store should be, when other resale stores have raised their prices to near retail-sale.
