Overall not a good experience with Rockin Robin. He is very much a radio type of DJ and wanted to…read moreput on a show but that just wasn't the vibe of what we wanted for our wedding. The worst part though - He asked for a request list of songs that he could go off of to make his set list. When asked to get a preview of his set list, his response was "you'll have to trust me". That might be what is understood in the DJ world but when it came to the dancing music he played, I would have liked more of a say because it was not what we wanted to go for. So much so that no one really wanted to dance and at 8pm when I approached him with intentions to ask about what was going on with the playlist, he was not at his DJ stand but was playing with a fake animal toy around the children instead. He responded with "are y'all ready to dance?" - um YES! The whole point of having the DJ at a wedding is to have music to dance to. He began to play all of the songs we requested in a row instead of blending them with similar songs throughout the night. Later he told my now husband that the music we provided would only take up 45 minutes... if we needed to provide the whole playlist that's something we needed to know ahead of the event instead of "trusting him" to do his job. At that point in the night, neither of us wanted to dance and chose to socialize with our guests instead of participate in his less than what's considered good performance of DJing. I would not recommend him as a wedding DJ to anyone and would almost go so far as to actively warn people about this experience.

They are a fairly new venue for the area and have already booked themselves up for more than a year. I did not realize what a booming business weddings are if I am being honest. If I did not have to work doing it, I might consider opening a place myself. It's not a fancy place, but is very well set up and has all the amenities needed right here on sight. It is exactly what my kid and wife were looking for it seems. They happy, I'm happy! The chapel itself is super cute, nestled in wooded area surrounded by trees, and very well air conditioned, which is a very important detail if you are going to be in a wedding gown or suit for any amount of time while the pressure of a marriage union is occurring. They have a separate bridal suite, if you will, with dressing rooms and an attached set of restrooms. The grooms place is in the reception hall. It's another building onsite that houses all of that. The reception hall has no kitchen. Only a residential range. It's well equipped with just about everything else though. You will just need to cater in. We did a private tour and then a tour where the family could come and try some of their vendors. That was nice to see what they have available as partner businesses. There were caterers, mobile bars, coffee drinks, photography and video people, as well as insurance agents to help you cover the wedding. This is my second daughter to tie the knot. Wedding is less than a year away now!!! Here we go! I will report back on anything after the wedding. Hopefully, it's all really good!!! I am sure it will be delightful! I get a new son too!
