DeepBlu did the music at my daughter's wedding on 9/2 and did a fantastic job. They had speakers set up for the outside cocktail hour and the microphone went from person to person seamlessly for the toasts. We were fortunate enough that Jimmy Harris was our DJ and he was the best. I have had so many people tell me what a fun wedding reception we had, and I give full credit to Jimmy for playing the exactly right music. Let me start of by saying I bugged Jimmy for a good two weeks with a list of questions before I finally decided to submit my deposit and sign the contract. I am so glad I made the decision to go with DeepBlu. I not only enjoyed talking to Jimmy about song choices and wedding DJ activities, we ended up discussing our love for sky diving. Very personable and very reliable. He kept me in line, worked with my schedule, was able to get all the music we requested (this was a multicultural wedding-2 different cultures and languages + American). All in all i cant say enough great things about DeepBlu. I am so glad I chose to go with them as my DJ. Blake actually DJ'd my wedding-sooooooooooooooo nice. He is just so cute and was so friendly, I would wave at him on the dance floor and he was up there having fun, playing songs, jamming along. I couldn't have asked for a better night. I am by no means a girly girl, I am not the girl who has been planning a wedding since I was 5. I had maybe 5 months to plan this wedding and it was PERFECT! So friendly So accommodating So sincere So helpful Great Equipment Very knowledgeable Super prepared Totally organized and on top of their game. oh... and did I mention i am out of state? so, he not only had to coordinate with me, but he also had to coordinate with my mom and dad. talk about skill- he drove out to them, talked to them, planned with them, and the reception couldn't have been more fun. My husband and I did not sit down the whole night!!!!!! I actually asked Jimmy to help me out with a few song choices and suggestions. We chose DeepBlu for our wedding after reading many positive reviews in wedding publications. However, I was left completely dissatisfied with the DJ services we received. What was done right: -DJ showed up and had functional equipment What was not done right: -Left out a bridesmaid and groomsman from our wedding party intros. -Introduced us (Bride & Groom) while someone else was walking out. -We altered our first dance track and gave it to the DJ beforehand, and he played the wrong one. We had choreographed our dance for a month and it was ruined. -Played the wrong track to father-daughter dance. Also a choreographed dance that was ruined. -No announcement of toasts. -No announcement of cake cutting (although DJ says he announced three times, yet my wife, my best man nor I remember hearing it, and many told me they didn't see us cut). -MANY requested songs not played. -One song was actually played twice. Look, mistakes happen, I get it. But this list is egregious and caused us to lose several special moments that we will never get back. So considering our horrible experience I called the owner to at least give him a chance to make it right. We agreed to a substantial yet fair refund, but was then called back to have several of our event issues be either blamed on me or deflected to other parties, then he used that as an excuse to slash the refund we had agreed to by hundreds of dollars. I will never use DeepBlu for any event I organize and will certainly not recommend them to anyone else. If you do use them, good luck....I hope they don't ruin your wedding. read more

Jimmy Harris from Deepblu Entertainment is a star. I believe if he had been our DJ, we would have had a rave review. Instead, we allowed Jimmy to convince us that a substitute DJ, Blake Brady, met the same high standard. He did not, in spades. Blake quite nearly ruined our beautiful Peabody wedding. He completely botched the bride/groom presentation and the send off. The few announcements he did were garbled, mumbled and uninspired. He failed to announce the cake cutting. He had zero rapport with the guests and was overtly rude and belligerent when guests made requests. He was unfamiliar with the music plan we had created with Jimmy, and when I and 2 other people attempted to confer with him to set it right, he ignored us completely. He was distracted, roaming about the venue and leaving the DJ stand unattended, and continually flipping through pages and pages of I don't know what. He played a bizarre selection of songs in a random fashion. Our maid of honor took charge of the music and got people on the dance floor, and she had to intervene repeatedly. I didn't imagine Jimmy Harris would send us somebody who was distracted, argumentative, introverted, mumbling, unprepared, and with no feel for music or the crowd. But he did. Beware. read more
