We went to Menards yesterday to buy some white wood 4 x 4's, I paid for everything then went to the yard to get the lumber, could not find the number so I asked one of the associates and he pointed them out to us and then left, I went upstairs where they are kept and my son-in-law stayed by the truck so I could hand them down to him. We loaded our 12 pieces and were pulling out at the gate, when the attendant stopped us and told us we had the wrong boards, so we went back into the shed where it was, and had to wait for someone to show up, then they discovered that they had stocked the wrong items in the wrong bin, the white wood was covered up so I had to wait 30 minutes while they pulled it all out of the way, and then I had to pick my 4x4, again and hand them to my son-in-law. 2 managers stood there and watched my son-in-law unload and load the wood with no offered help. This is BS, as I have a hard time getting up and down steps and pulling stuff from overhead, and that is exactly where this was located, making it difficult to get to in the first place. I don't think that I will ever be shopping there again, as I have bad luck at this store since it opened a few years ago. Poor; Poor Management. They make everything so difficult at this store, you have to go all the way to the back of the store to order the lumber and then go all the way back to the front to pay for stuff, then go around back to pick up the stuff. I'm a little late posting this, but I had to be sure these two folks get the recognition they deserve. First off, I love this place! Coming from Phoenix where the only game in town was Home Depot, I am happy to say they blow them away! Now, I came into the store a coupe of weeks after Christmas looking for a tree bag I saw they had on clearance. I checked the app and got the location in the store where it should be, but no matter how many times I circled the area, no dice!! That's when I grabbed Leslie for help. She looked, then got Trevor to help as well. Finally they figured out that it was actually still in the back room somewhere. So, they both went back there looking and showed up 10 minutes later with the bag. Understand that I interrupted what they were both doing. They dropped everything and took a good 30 minutes to get me the item I came in for. I have NEVER gotten that kind of customer service from The Home Depot! Yet another reason I just love this store! If Trevor and Leslie's boss reads this, give them a raise!! read more

So I have purchased 3 Chapin brand battery operated backpack sprayers for my business in the last let's say six months.. Each one of them with the same faulty part that causes them to leak chemical out of the bottom of the pump on to the battery and then on to the back of my legs while in use which also destroys the batteries that are $60 .. So the first two I took back and told them the problem I exchanged the first one and the second one had the same issue so I took the second one back in and told them that I looked it up online and there was a defective issue with them and they were leaking chemical or whatever was inside of them through the bottom of the pump so the second one was passed the time to receive a cash refund so the lady said she would give me a in-store credit so I had no other option but to try a third one and she assured me that if I brought it back in within the time allowed I could receive a cash refund.. Well the third one started having issues within one week by the pump not kicking off and running constantly and then today I put it on to spray a house and kicked it on and it spewed chemical down the back of my legs and into my shoes.. Needless to say I was less than happy , so I went home boxed it nicely and gathered up my receipt and returned to the store to get my cash refund as promised .. The Hunchback at the counter scanned my receipt and said yes sir it looks like we we're able to do an in store credit on that ...... I said WTF? She said yes we are only able to refund the money back to the source that it came from in this case it was a store credit so we'd be able to do a store credit again.. Needless to say again that did not set well with me so I asked to see the manager which a long story short told me the same thing and then I just seen red They said there was nothing they could do for me..I needed the cash back to purchase a differnt sprayer so they handcuffed me from doing so.. I will never step foot in that store again.. Im selling the b.s. in store credit check for $144 and that just cost them approx 5k in business we do there in a year but they obvuously do not care about customer service or customers.. I will never shop in the store again. The asst manager, steve, treated me terribly. They did not deliver a special order when promised. I wanted to cancel due to their lack of delivery. He wanted to charge me a 25% restocking fee. I had to stop payment on my credit card to keep from paying this charge. Steve treated me like I was a thief. When I went to Meeks Lumber I was able to match my material. The price was competitive and I was treated with respect. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE, unless you dont mind being looked down on. read more

I just got my mower back after several weeks (3-4). Of course, since it is July-August needed a mower to mow. Manager in all fairness got it repaired more quickly after I called and complained about the 6 week turnaround. Miraculously got it back within a couple of days. Now fixed. I am out the money for paying to take back to store, then to service center, the 3-4 weeks being unable to mow, having to borrow a mower from someone else, also paying someone with a truck to retreive/return my mower and the lended mower, and the attempted repair with 3 belts. WHAT A HASSLE!! I guess Menard's think that this is a reasonable approach to selling lawnmowers. AGAIN, I would consider another place to purchase a mower. Lest there is confusion, I will not buy anything from them in the future. read more

I can't even give this store one star because I will never shop here again. Went with mother n law to price window blinds we met ted and that is were the trouble started. There was so much wrong I can't begin to describe them all. I will say this he was rude, disrespectful and very know it all who new nothing. My husband ordered a pole barn kit in Nov. because of a lot of rain ,this week they started putting the roof on,color ordered was charcoal gray the color is white whoever ordered got it all backwards. Trim was to be white instead it's charcoal gray,not sure yet whatever color walls we have yet. They had a young man that was not comfortable ordering this,but several knowledgeable employees decided he would learn on our building,this kid and menards cost us 16,000.00 and counting. It's a 30x54 so let sticks out like a sore thumb in my backyard close to pool. Lesson learned sit down with an experienced sales associate and go over every detail before signing a contract, if they try to rush you because they want to go home you need to tell them where to go. You leave and go somewhere else,you will come out cheaper. I can't post this without rating it should be 0 not a star. read more
