I have had the WORST experience with this Hobby Lobby in the framing dept…read more I had a print that I wanted a frame for so I took it to Spencer's Hobby Lobby. I was told they couldn't put a frame on it because it was a 1/4 off and unless they put new stretching bars on it, they'd be unable to frame it. I hesitated because of the cost but decided to go ahead with that. They said it would take a couple of weeks, after a couple of weeks I received a call that they ordered the wrong size stretching bars and would need to reorder so now it's going to take another couple of weeks. A week later the store flooded. (Of course there was nothing they could do about that which I totally understand). However, if they had gotten the correct stretching bars to begin with this wouldn't have been a problem. We called to ask what was going to happen to our print and they said they'd ship it to another location and have it taken care of there. I was fine with that. After another couple of weeks, I called to see if it had been sent and they told me that I just needed to come and pick it up. I did. I live 45 minutes away from this store and an hour and a half away from the next nearest store so I hadn't had a chance to get it anywhere. Once Spencer's store was up and running I called to see if I could bring it back and they said yes. They ordered the stretching bars and put them on and I went to pick out a frame. They said it would be another couple of weeks. Three weeks later I called on a Thursday to see what was going on with the print and the same gentleman asked if I had gotten his message earlier the previous week. (I looked through my call log and there were NO calls from their store and clearly no message.) He said, "we just need to know what you want us to put on the back to hang it with?" I asked his advice because that's his forte. He advised a double wire. He said it could be done by that afternoon and I told him I couldn't be there that day but could be there by the weekend. Saturday, we go to pick up our frame. $421 for the frame and stretching bars. I get it home and get it ready to hang, take the plastic off..... there is NOTHING on the back. Are you kidding me?????? I'm furious! This is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous! Update, I took the print to another store location. I was told that the guy from the Hobby Lobby in Spencer had done everything wrong! She took everything off and started over. Alas my print is ready to hang on the wall.

Due to area flooding stoves were hard to find in stock so we jumped on this model after being assured it was new and only had a minor scratch. Our salesperson wrote our phone number down incorrectly so they couldn't call us for delivery the next day. I called after not hearing from them and was told they'd come the next day. The next day the team delivered our stove and worked for over an hour to get it hooked up. The guys couldn't get a steady flame and told me they needed a pressure checking tool they didn't have with them. After an hour they gave up and said a tech would come look at it the next day. I asked if we needed to shut the gas off and they assured me the burners were off and so was the oven so we were fine. This was around 2 PM. The guys left and my daughter and I ran some errands and grabbed dinner. We sat down to watch a movie and we noticed how strong the gas smell was. I checked the stove again and everything was off. About 8 PM we were both dizzy and had pounding headaches. I opened windows, turned on fans and pulled the stove out myself and shut the gas valve off because my gut told me something wasn't right. It took hours to air out the house. The next day the tech came out and found that all the fittings in our new stove were set up for propane and not natural gas. Gas had poured out of 7 opening for hours! By law they have to mark stoves that have been altered with a sticker and this one didn't have one. This is so dangerous! We had Black Hills come out to check the line a few days later and make sure there weren't leaks (which there weren't) but they were appalled this had happened as it could have killed us or blown the entire house us had I not shut the line off. Snooks didn't have the natural gas fittings for my stove and told me it could be awhile for them to get them. I went to the store to talk to the owner Bill. He apologized and assured me they would do whatever we needed to "make it right". I asked if we could get another model but that was when we discovered several other units were also propane fitted and not marked. I found out their scratch and dent models come off a truck from Best Buy normally and they don't know what their issues are; hardly what I would considered a new model. The whole transaction felt very sketchy. I inquired about getting a brand new version of the same model and he told me it would be awhile for it to come in and despite only costing $300 more than what I paid for my unit, he said couldn't do that because he has a bottom line and offered me $100 discount on a new one. I was so offended at the lack of empathy he displayed when his faulty product could have killed my family. He said it could be a month to get the right fittings for our stove, negating the entire reason I bought the stove. I inquired about getting our original stove back that they hauled away the day before and just getting a refund. Bill suddenly said we will do whatever it takes and that they couldn't get our stove back, which made no sense. I left the store angry and upset. My husband called to see what could be done as I had gotten nowhere and Bill was incredibly rude to him and hung up on him! Magically a few hours later Bill called me and said they had pirated our fittings from new units and would install them after the weekend. 6 days after we bought the stove we had a team come with the correct fittings. They lost a piece in the stove they never found and dropped the tipped oven onto my tile floor at one point but they did get the new parts in. All the crew that came to our house were very nice and apologized for the mistake and for the way the owner treated us. We got to pay a high gas bill thanks to Snooks. I still feel we got a lemon. Bill never followed up or "made it right" other than getting the correct fittings. We will never buy from Snook's again and urge others to think twice.

Sherwin Williams made a paint and delivered the paint of Pale Oak OC-20 (Not Decorators White). That color was subsequently painted in our home, which is not the correct color that we ordered. We approached Sherwin Williams in Spencer, IA and asked what happened. They (Sherwin Williams) said they used the code, OC-20, and did not look at what the color was. Sherwin Williams went on to tell us (my wife and I) that Pale Oak OC-20 is part of the Benjamin Moore Decorators White Collection so they are not at fault. Upon further investigation, Pale Oak OC-20, is not part of Benjamin Moore Decorators White Collection. No such collection exists. Pale Oak OC-20 is part of Benjamin Moores Off White Collection. Benjamin Moore Decorators White is part of Designer Classics Collection. My wife and I had a discussion with Tavian Banks at Sherwin Williams in Spencer, Iowa. Tavian Banks went on to say that there are many different shades of Benjamin Moore Decorators White and further went on to say that Sherwin Williams will assume no fault. The statement by Tavian Banks was not true and Sherwin Williams in Spencer, Iowa mixed and delivered the wrong paint without verifying with us, the painter, or the general contractor. This error and cover up has cost us $11,000. This is a terrible experience and from the review above there seems to be major issues with customer service and quality control. I would love to have Sherwin Williams contact me with a real solution.

I don't know the worker at the store on Saturday, April 15th who prepared my order of paint and placed it in my car fairly quickly. However, when I got home, I took the boxes out of my car and carried the box inside and set it on the floor. I did not open the box. Within minutes, my floor was covered with over a half a gallon of paint. I called the store immediately, and after several tries did actually get through to the person that fulfilled my order. She said the owners were out of the town and that she would give me a free can of paint. I went to the store today and asked questions on how to get it out of my clothing, on the concrete of my condo complex on the sidewalk, etc. and she stated if there wasn't paint in my car, it's not their fault. And she kept repeating that if the lid was loose, it would've blown up in the shaking machine. I said couldn't have gotten loose while you were shaking it and did you check it before you put it in a box. She just kept saying there was nothing she did wrong and they gave me a free can of paint. She said she had talk to the owner, and that this is all they were going to do for me. Attached are the pictures of the process of cleaning up (a nice local Painter in Okoboji told me to use dish, Dawn dishsoap, a brush and warm water, but she will see in the picture). I sopped up a half gallon of paint that poured out in a matter of minutes all over my wood floor. I would've just liked an apology, or I'm sorry for something other than, "I did nothing wrong". I told her that mistakes happen but she wasn't having it. And kept saying we gave you a free can of paint.
