Lawyer sent forms to my doctors to fill out when my case was at the Appeals Council, when it was supposed to be sent before seeing the judge. They don't have attorneys that go to Federal court so I called other attorneys and nobody wants to even look at my case once I tell them Midwest was handling it. That says a lot. Get yourself a local attorney elsewhere that practices at the Federal Circuit Court level. This place seems to take all cases and throws them all against the wall to see which ones stick. Paul Thompson told me over the phone that he takes small cases because, even though he won't make money on them, he's developing relationships with people who might refer larger cases to him in the future. Then, when I met in person with him, he said that small cases are "not worth it" and he would only take my case if I was seeking disability, pain and suffering (which I didn't have). He's misinformed about the IME process.
