Quality of care, plus type of care is not the best. No updates on health, and questions are not answered.

Menorah is clearly the best place to come to in Pinellas County after being in the hospital.

The emergency call lights don't work in the rooms & there are no phones in the rooms either, if there is a real emergency there is no way to contact the staff because they're on the other side of the complex. Motel 6 is better kept than Ivy Ridge and Motel 6 is pretty trashy! You've been warned!! We had a family member who was staying there at one of the back buildings and if there was a fire or emergency our loved one would be in imminent danger because he was bed ridden at the time and no one could get him out to safety fast enough because the only way to get him out is down some stairs and or on a elevator and because staff was no where to be seen he could not even yell for them! Ivy Ridge can't even afford tvs in the patients room & the lights & the beds in the room are trashy looking, walls and floors are dated, it's just an overpriced assisted living place for elderly people & in a good neighborhood! They don't even have any activities for them and the patients just sit around all day long watching a single tv in the main room. The rooms looks trashy, especially that they charge up to $5,000 a for a small single room & the room dont have mirrors pretty much nothing, very bland rooms, no private bath rooms, one would think rooms would be a little nicer for $5,000, the rooms feel cold and unfriendly. Ivy Ridge smells horrible too don't forget all that glitters isn't gold!! The entire place at Ivy Ridge has a bad vibe!! Like bad things go on behind closed doors at Ivy Ridge!! I will say that some of the staff we're accommodating and nice once they'd warmed up to you. I'll never place my loved one there again.

My friend got bed sores, and they called me, telling that she must be OUT THAT DAY and to make arrangements at a rehab or nursing home! They also told me that she could return after they healed. After 1 1/2 months and a reassessment by her doctor since her bedsores were healed stating that in his medical opinion she could return to Ivy Ridge, they refused to take her back. Interestingly, shortly after my friend had originally moved into Ivy R, the place was sold to another company. Eighteen months later, when Ivy R told me that Pam had to leave because of her bedsores, they also told me that she had to sign a new contract with the new company. The monthly amount would be $1500 more per month. (They told me that all the other residents had signed new contracts, but they had simply overlooked hers.) I checked with four attorneys and they told me that her contract was still binding. The new company buys the old company, assets and liabilities unless they purchase only the building. So, what do you think?

When I left I was so ill I had to wear a life vest for when my heart failed. I passed out and all my property, clothes books , e reader thousand dollars backpack, identification was stolen. I was removed by ambulance and the head nurse never moved my property to a safe place. I was told the staff loves to steal they were right. I complained about this dump and the administrator made a effort on here to help with the loss but he never contacted me. The food is horrible and the palmetto bugs are like birds. I would watch one resident that would crawl down the hall and the chat said leave him alone not worth the trouble when I alerted them. If you despise your relative this is the place to, put them to death. They change thenane but it is known as a dump. I have to give one star because they don't offer no star.

I live about 11-1/2 hrs. away and became her legal guardian about 1 year ago because her mental state deteriorated to the point, she was no longer able to make decisions for herself. She was in a state of decline, so I decided to move her to the state she lived in before going to Florida. It took me a year to get it done, but I was successful! Unfortunately, I hate to leave a bad review because Dan, the Administrator, and his staff were the catalyst for me being able to move my sister out of there. Please update this place, l know it's hard to keep clean with the type of patients living there, but there has to be better conditions for the poor individuals forced to live there indefinitely. The patients are locked in like in a prison. Before my sister left, I believe some outside activities were being incorporated to allow patients to go outside the facility. I see some staff are working hard for the patients, the few times I was able to get there, but I am hoping things will improve in the future. -- A concerned family member.

I've been going here for a few years. I like it here because the staff treats me like I'm a moron…read more It makes me laugh which I don"t do until i leave but there will come a time when I'll break that self-imposed rule. My main issue is being given instructions on what clothes to remove. My second issue is being given instructions on how to put the robe on after I have removed my clothes. Sometimes I play stupid and ask them to repeat the instructions. The chick giving the directions feels smart and that boosts her ego. My third issue is the annual questionnaire which is a total waste of paper and my time. This isn't my first rodeo, kids. I know how to take my clothes off. I was taking my clothes off long before the 'assistant' with her long nails which, hello, is prohibited by the WHO and the CDC, saw her best part roll down her mom's leg. Every year, I check the ancestry portion. The directions on this questionnaire are written in the 3rd person. So I'm reading that genetic testing is an option for those of Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry. Interesting. Who discusses this with me? I have no idea. Another complaint i have is minor but hey, if you are going to be answering the phone... talking to customers... pronounce words correctly... examine the grammer, if you will. And lastly, have respect for my time. Nobody apologizes for being late... keeping me waiting... whether I'm dressed or undressed. On the flip side, I respect what appears to be an office-wide decision not to apologize. This means they know that we are grown adults and won't believe lame, fake apologies anyway so why bother? However, we are still not old enough to know how to get naked and put on a gown. Maybe we never will be. And why is it so difficult to contact these people by any method other than by phone during business hours? They can send me a crap link anytime THEY want yet I don't have that same luxury?
