She also let him hold a comb and water bottle which he loved . A little backstory I had taken him to two other kid hair cut places and they were not friendly and rushed the haircut as well as left it uneven. I am so happy, we found this place. I got a haircut from some racist narcissistic jerk who spent the entire time talking down about anyone who wasn't exactly like him, including "my kind". I couldn't believe how many times he said "n*gger" this and "n*gger" that. Unacceptable. I quietly waited for the horrible experience to be over only to get home with an uneven haircut where the difference is an inch or so off. Shoutout to Qaisar for a couple amazing haircuts now, he really goes above and beyond for quality and you can tell he has passion for it that you don't usually see at a typical barbershop. I love and support local business. I have visited "the men's room" since I was 5. I'm now 31. I can't remember ever getting a haircut I liked from them but oh well the vibe is classic and the ol head barbers are something to appreciate. It had been a few years and i visited this morning as my hair is grown out from these Covid times. They work inside (3 barbers), nobody was wearing a mask but my barber and I. A younger heavy set barber with cool tattoos was sitting right next to me breathing in my direction lost in his phone and energy drink. He ignored the fact that i thanked my personal barber for putting on a mask when he cut my hair. Mind you I'm the youngest in the room. I should of said something early on but I'm desperate to get my mane lookin right and Saturday morning... But when I was checking out I brought it up respectfully that I'm wearing one to protect you guys (and I'm the one spending the money). I said I wouldn't leave a yelp review because I'm straight up and I appreciate local business, But you guys need to clean up your act.. One of the old barbers rolled his eyes. You know you've come to the right place when you ask for a high and tight, only to be asked "civilian or the real deal?" Of course, the real deal or nothing! I wish I had gotten my barber's name, so I could properly praise him. He measured the fade perfectly, and made sure all the lines were proper. Even nicked a little off the top to make it all nice and, well, tight! Even got some good conversation about canoeing and other things during. No text or call letting me know he would be late. Then AGAIN I stupidly made an appointment on another date. I had an appointment for 11. I spoke to a guy next to me who said he was waiting for Brian but had no appointment. I explained I had an appointment at 11. I waited until 11:30 and Brian let's that guy sit down. I explained I had an appointment and Brian says "Oh well everyone came in at once." I had an appointment though and this guy didn't. So he clearly let his buddy skip me. So unprofessional. Then all the barber talked is about the infected hair he had to lance on his own, in a spot of the anatomy I am not comfortable mentioning. Brian is one legit Barber. I've been to Supercuts, Straight cuts, Standard Barbershop, 18|8 Fine Men's Salon, etc. and today was honestly the best fade I've ever had. The guy knows what he's doing and takes his time and doesn't rush. His fade was awesome and even though I can't really see the back of my head, my girlfriend said this fade was perfectly even when she pointed to my head. Finally gotten that business haircut I've always wanted. I've been going to 18|8 which is like $50 a haircut and I am so glad to take the chance to go here. Price doesn't mean quality. I was nervous to go to a barbershop for my first time in so long but after looking up yelp I found this place and researched on barber Brian who is all over yelp for this barbershop. Can I just say he did such a fantastic job on my hair. I was so happy with how it came out. Even my girlfriend told me to go back to Brian next time because she loved how my hair turned out.
