Fortunately, by the grace of God, I was able to contact the owner of Ashley Renee Bridal in Livingston, LA, last minute on a Sunday. They were incredibly compassionate about our situation and opened their shop to accommodate our party. I highly recommend avoiding Bliss Bridal; they clearly don't value their customers and don't deserve your business. UPDATE: the owner Robin called me back at 430 pm same day, and said she 'oops she forgot , she is not used to taking Sunday appts '. What??? No remorse nothing! She quoted me $20 to hem my dress, but when I arrived, we discovered that it had 3 different layers. She was able to hem it for $40 - which is still a lot cheaper than David's Bridal and 2 other local alteration places... AND, she had it ready in 4 days! I was very pleased with the outcome and will definitely come back with my future alterations! Don't forget to bring the shoes you will wear with the pants/dress being altered. You have to make at least one U-turn in order to get in and then a U-turn to get back on the highway. Other than that, all is great!
