What we wanted: A cake that would not only WOW our kiddo with its looks, but also taste great. What we got: A showstopper cake that our child loved. The bonus is that it tasted great. We chose the "Chuches" cake, which is topped with little chocolates and cookies. You get your choice of the cake flavor and we picked a white red velvet interior. The cake itself was moist with a beautiful lemony buttercream that was absolutely delicious. I was surprised it wasn't overly sweet. This was the best surprise. I don't like sickly sweet cakes and we have ordered cakes in the past that were exactly that. This cake from Tartas con Estilo has the perfect balance to it. Our kiddo loved picking treats off the top. She also enjoyed the cake but got more out of the goodies it was decorated with. She filled up on those. En nuestro local tenemos obrador propio, y allí elaboramos preparaciones, como dicen los angloparlantes "from scratch". Esto quiere decir que no empleamos preparados industriales, sino que nos interesamos, y mucho, por llegar al fondo de la cuestión. Hacemos nuestros bizcochos, tartas y magdalenas con huevos de los de verdad (ni en polvo ni en tetra-brik), aceite de oliva, harina sin aditivos, mantequilla (no margarina), nata, leche fresca y azúcar en muchos casos sin refinar. En todas nuestras elaboraciones trabajamos con materia prima de primera calidad, y siempre que las circunstancias lo permiten, con productos de proximidad, biológicos y sin aditivos químicos.
