I met Meo a couple of years ago when she was photographing my best friend's wedding in Mexico. I was a bridesmaid, and Meo made such a good impression- friendly, easy going, and professional. On a whim, I decided that I wanted to book a boudoir shoot to surprise my fiancé (and let's be honest, hang out in a gorgeous apartment in my underwear). Meo is AMAZING and her photographs are STUNNING. She is communicative, flexible, personable, and fun - everything you want in your wedding photographer. I was physically ill on my wedding day, and had to take several breaks during the first reveal and other pre-ceremony photos. We even ended up cutting them short so I could go lie down before the ceremony. I also have a lot of anxiety about being the center of attention and having everyone's cameras pointed at me. Yelp reviews by me are like a treasure map to the quality service wonders the world has to offer and that's mainly because I don't yelp. So, when I finally do feel like a business is worthy enough of my review, its because I see it as a civic duty to help my fellow man. With that disclaimer in place let me tell you about Meo. She has an artist eye for all things. Seriously its an all and everything scenario. You will never see an exit sign in the background of your wedding pictures, she will never make you act out an unnatural scenario for your engagement photos and you don't have to every worry if your hair looks frizzy or if your new bronzer makes you look like an oompa loompa because she will have already smoothed your baby hairs and buffed your bronzer out to perfection. Its those little details that set her out from the rest. While I myself have no understanding of the science behind lens and lighting; she does. So let that be your reassurance that if you are in the same boat as me in your technical merits or lack thereof you have no need to wait with baited breath of how your investment will turn out. She is not one of those photographers that relies on photoshop for flawless skin and no arm flab. Nope ... she will rely on your surrounding lighting for flawless skin and your arm flab ... well she will just tuck it away in your pose. Needless to say she is my go to photographer. My last photo experience with Meo was with my self proclaimed, 5 year old "fashionista" ballerina. Now, Meo and my wee one have a BFF relationship because Meo has been taking her pictures since she was itty bitty. On this particularly warm Vegas day Meo and twinkle toes were on an adventure that was being documented through the lens; not once did it feel like a staged photo shoot. These two looked for fairies living in bushes and cracked themselves up pondering what fairy farts might smell like (THOSE WERE HANDS DOWN THE BEST PICTURES EVER!) ... Meo kept their time together active and never missed an opportunity to capture the moment. When I first talked to Meo, we ended up spending over an hour on the phone bonding over our shared #fatkid tendencies and love of Disneyland churros. She made me feel so comfortable that I felt like she was a friend by the end of the phone call, and went out of her way to work with my husband's and my wedding budget. She was extremely professional and always quick to respond to questions leading up to the wedding, but it was on the day of that she blew me away. While her second shooter Heidi was capturing details and grooms/groomsmen pictures (though groomsmen pictures are no easy feat!), Meo managed to corral me and my bridal party into positions for pictures during an extremely hectic morning. She stayed calm and patient while managing the family portraits after the ceremony, and was the best at capturing adorable candid moments during the reception.
