One of my favourite things to do on holiday is to sample the local markets. That's where you get the authentic local experience
This market is located a very short walk from the Old Town and full of locals. So much so that very little English is spoken in the market. However, a friendly smile, lots of gesturing and odd commonly understood word went a long way!
It's a mixed market selling things like kitchen knives but mainly concentrating on food. Perhaps unsurprisingly for a seaside town, my favourite stalls were the seafood stalls piled high with giant clams and fresh tuna
There were also meat stalls and colourful vegetable stalls as well as purveyors of spice and cheese
