This supermarket was pretty new when we visited Meloneras at the end of 2016. It's a full-service supermarket, and fairly large, but because it's located in such a touristy area and near so many hotels and holiday rentals, most of the patrons are tourists. There's an outdoor parking lot next to the entrance, and a parking lot underneath the store as well.
The produce department has most of the basics you could want, although I found it a little depressing. The selection and quality were poor, and almost everything was packaged up in plastic the way they do it at Trader Joe's in the US. In contrast, the fish and seafood counter in the back was really impressive. All kinds of whole fish, octopus, squid, and other shellfish were available. There's also a sizable butcher counter where I bought some fresh chorizo that was very tasty. One can also buy whole cured ham legs, if one has the time and motivation.
The store also has the usual groceries, dry goods, drinks, cleaning supplies, and baked goods that you would expect at a sizable supermarket. Despite being a store aimed at tourists, a lot of the items are packaged in tremendous quantities. For example, we needed olive oil, sugar, and toilet paper for a week at our rental condo, but the smallest sizes available were 1L of oil, 1 kilo of sugar, and 9 rolls of toilet paper. On the plus side, the prices seemed extremely low. Everything was cheap, and I could not find a bottle of wine that cost more than 7 Euro in the whole store.
All-told, the store is clean, cheap, and has what you need. We went back three or four times happily. read more
