Picks favorite residents to use as winners in paying rent early when I paid rent five months in advance. Never send emails when the water is going to be out or when we need to know certain things. Yet they send multiple emails asking us to vote them the best complex in Nac. The apartments themselves are fine- aside from multiple issues with the toilet and when I moved in the sliding glass door did not have a bar for it to be locked so I went a day or two without a locked back door.

We moved out on the agreed upon date, only for us to find out a month later that we won't be getting back any of our rent. She was super unprofessional as she incompetently tried to handle the situation after the fact. At this point I'm sure she pocketed it. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I can tell you, my bring a retired Christian missionary, that nothing in that review has ever gone in since I have lived here. We have a wonderful manager, that I believe everyone respects. She is cordial, highly responsible and very helpful. We also hv a social worker in staff, who is highly efficient and very efficient in helping tenants with all kinds of needs and support. We have always had a maintenance man here since I've been here, who handles needs quickly. Everyone like him. This is a great place. Abuse doesn't live here. Needs are met. People feel like family overall. I'm very happy here.

The Californian (and the rest of the Three Rivers apartments, really) seem to be some of the best -actual- apartments in Nacogdoches. (The Grove and Lumberjack Lofts are honestly just dorms anyway.) Anyway, once upon a time, my girlfriend and I were moving out of our old (terribly managed) apartments. We came to the Californian, and while our initial plan to get one of the bungalows fell through, the management went out of their way to help us get a place of our own (a two-bedroom town home with washer and dryer included) that matched our needs and price range, almost two years later and we're still very happy with where we are. The management has always been friendly and helpful, and the maintenance team have some of the fastest response times I've seen. It's a great place to be, and being walking distance to campus and having Pecan Park as a backyard ain't bad either.

The management at the Californian has always been helpful and courteous. They worked with me and my boyfriend to find us something within our budget that had enough space, and here two years later we couldn't be happier. Anytime we've had a problem, the maintenance people have fixed it right away, and we never have to call them twice. Not only is the complex well-maintained and reasonably priced, they are literally right across the road from SFA. You won't find a more convenient location! It's an 8-minute bike ride to get to the other side of campus, which is just awesome. Considering that commuter parking at SFA is awful and not worth the money, it's great to live right next to campus.
