We love the new renovations at Mercato,Naples Florida. Last night we were lucky enough to get the new bar table in the courtyard on the road. The singing entertainment was so fabulous also. My MAIN CONCERN ABOUT THE NEW AREA RENOVATIONS is I witnessed several children running out into traffic to retrieve balls. PLEASE someone address putting up a fence or trees to avoid a potential tragedy. read more

This was my "go to" place for so many things. We would go to Bravo on e a week. The restaurants other than Bravo are marginal at best. Prices too high service very poor. Yesterday we learned Bravo 's lease was not renewed and they were closed and packing up. Very sad, in a seasonal town to shutter a place that was always busy. Mercato is an ourdoor mall or shopping center. There are lots of restaurants and stores around, some chains, generic, some with personality. The place has a nice design (loved the street lamps), vegetation, great for walking around. Parking can get a tad difficult but there are some lots in the back. There are areas where you can just chill, hang out, wait for your dinner reservation. The place is lively, they have events here so check their calendar. Great for people watching. There also a movie theater here and The Original Museum of Selfies (yep, there's a museum for that!). Nice place to spend a few hours, shop, grab a bit, walk around and so on! read more

Mercato is a open mixed use 53 acre shopping/ residential, business office complex built in Naples Fl. between 2007 and 2009. It is marketed as a mixed use retail lifestyle center. The complex was designed by Atlanta-based Cooper Carry to be a four block long main street, with buildings from one to five stories. Mercato was named after the Piazza del Mercato in Naples, Italy which is a market with artisan shops. The complex was built in downtown Naples to provide people a place where they could live, work, and shop. In 2015 Prudential, based in Madison, New Jersey, paid $240 million to acquire the property. Free parking is on the street, in a back lot, or in the garage. The shopping center is anchored by a Silverspot movie theater, Nordstom's Rack, and Whole Foods. Shops include jewelry, home furnishings, health and beauty, apparel, art galleries, restaurants, and offices. After walking around my impression was that Mercato was beautifully landscaped with a lot of places to sit although the stores weren't the type that I would usually shop at. I did however really like the selection of restaurants. All of them had outdoor seating on the sidewalk which looked really inviting in the beautiful weather. The Burntwood Tavern and The Pub, a London inspired British pub caught my eye. I grabbed a coffee at Narrative Coffee Roasters and there was a Kilwin's next door so you can grab a sweet treat. Mercato is a really nice place to walk around as long as it isn't raining and I'll probably be back to try The Pub. read more

I highly recommend this shopping center they have everything from Whole Foods to Nordstrom's rack to a movie theater. The people who work here are so nice. Dog friendly as long as they behave. They have events from Woodstock to Christmas lighting to movie on the lawn. The restaurants are to die for. read more

Had a great day at the Naples Motorfest 2019 and the weather was perfect! The cars were so beautiful and enjoyed seeing some vintage classics to some real heavyweights like the McLaren. Mercato was the perfect venue to host such a nice event with plenty of music, delicious restaurants and shops to complete your day. If you haven't been to Mercato, it's a lively atmosphere and beautiful scene perfect for any occasion. There is the Silverspot theatre that's located upstairs which serves beer, wine and food in addition to the traditional popcorn, candy and sodas. Daytime is great for a nice lunch with most restaurants offering outdoor seating so you can mingle while taking in the beautiful atmosphere. The nightlife has a lot going on from having drinks and dancing at the Blue Martini to enjoying some great food, whisky and beer at The Pub restaurant. If that wasn't enough for a good time, there is the Rocky Patel Cigar Bar Lounge or Wine Loft great for entertaining small or big parties. There is something fun for everyone here at Mercato and recommend you visit this place. read more

The hot place to be in Naples. Love cruisin, strolling here and soaking in the vibes. Fun reserved seating movie theatre, lots of restaurants, retail stores, special events on weekends. They now have a free shuttle to 5th Ave so you can continue partying there as well. Only challenge is parking, during season it is impossible so be sure and car pool. They need to build a second garage on the opposite end. read more

This is my jam! I come to Mercato at least once a week to hangout, having dinner and check out the bands at Blue Martini. Every time I visit this place, I have an absolute ball. One of the best things about Mercato is people watching. I love to see the snazzy older men with this shirts unbuttoned to their belly buttons and their hair slicked back step out of a Maserti and Lambo on the prowl for some young tender roni to spoil. I also love to see the plastic women trying to get their attention by doing the fake lesbian thing - yes 40+ year old women actually do that. This is definitely a fun place to hang out. I've eaten there a few times and the food is pricey, but good. And, with Whole Foods there, it makes it worth the drive from Estero. read more

Sprawling maze of high end shops and restaurants and bars. Kind if a zoo during peak dinner hour- which in this "mature" neighborhood- starts early. They have a parking garage and lots on premises but it took a ling while to find a spot on a busy Monday evening. Seems like everyone comes here - and at the same time. The Mercato is Naples' redemption for all the young people in the area. Naples is generally known for being a sleepy town, but the Mercato can be bumping when you least expect it. The facade of the Mercato tends to be more upscale, but there are places where you can find a great deal and a relaxing environment without caring to keep up with the Jones'. It's hard not to mention specific stores, but I think there's a great blend of fun and unique shops, club-like places, movie theatres with comfy leather chairs, upscale restaurants, and a place to walk through and hone your people-watching skills over coffee, or you can just stalk people while they take a cooking class in front of a large window. The Mercato itself is a central hub for food festivals, events such as movies on the lawn, and a great place find a happy hour deal just about everywhere. They also have live music on the lawn. I think they're featuring a jazz series throughout this season. I can truly say that this place is your one-stop-shop for entertainment and socializing throughout the night. You really do have restaurants that will satisfy any taste for food, or will feature special drinks and different types of social scenes. There are plenty of restaurant patios that are dog-friendly and there are stores that are just the same. The website has a directory of these venues. As much as I love the Mercato for a truly sensory experience, my only gripe is that parking comes at a premium. You really have to call out to the empty-spot gods and let them guide you to where you need to be. There are many different areas to park, but there is no area that tends to be better than the other. They're just all typically filled. I believe that there are certain venues that will validate parking should you need to valet. This might be the best alternative, especially when you're meeting up with friends for happy hour. Maybe I just need to inherit a bajillion dollars (okay, I'm exaggerating) so I can live above the Mercato and view everything from the peanut gallery. Yeah, that's the ticket. Go forth and be merry at the Mercato. I know you'll enjoy it. read more

I must confess, I have a love / hate relationship with this shopping center. I love the aesthetics, shops and restaurants but on a hot day, I dislike the walk. This is an outdoor shopping center with very little cover from the sun (or rain). Initially, I am always here for Nordstrom Rack but today, I wanted lunch. I didn't find a sign listing the businesses so I went to Yelp. There were several restaurants listed that sound good but where are they? I started to walk (not sure where I was going). By the time I walked to the far end, I had looked into several shops and perused the menu at multiple restaurants. I was very sad when I found my selected restaurant at the far end only to see a sign saying they were closed for the week. Oh well, no way to know this. I did return to the Nordstrom end for lunch in Whole Foods. This is a beautiful shopping center with many choices and plenty of parking. Happy shopping! read more

Went to meet friends for lunch and had a weird encounter with a security guard. When I parked behind Rocco Tacos security came up behind my car and started filming me. When I asked her what she's doing she rudely said "Do you work at Mecato?" I said no and she said "we will see" and drove away. So bizarre!!!! read more

I stayed at a home across the street on my recent trip to Naples. I didn't have a car, I just rode a bike or walked to the Mercato every day for things like restaurants, grocery trips, yoga, a massage, or shopping. You can also go to the movies or visit a salon there. It's upscale but not out of my budget, and there are several types of restaurants and bars there. I had a lot of choices every day, which was awesome. When I booked my trip, I made sure I'd have everything I'd want within walking distance, and Mercato did not disappoint. The atmosphere is calm but lively, if that makes sense, and there were musicians performing in the evening. The whole area is incredibly safe and bike-friendly. Coming from a big city, I couldn't believe I could just leave a bike outside and no one would even look at it! Along with Vanderbilt Beach, plus one afternoon downtown, this was the only place I went for 4 days, and I was happy about it. I wanted to just chill, and the Mercato was perfect for that. read more

Great Shopping plaza! This plaza has a lot to offer. They have old classic car shows (Which is my favorite) every other weekend. Amazing atmosphere, You get a little breeze here and there when your walking around. They do have couple of restaurants here with awesome food choices and some do allow pets. Bad thing about this plaza is everything is outside, So when it rains there is no cover or when its super hot outside you barely have shade or sitting area. Price's here are great. read more

There is a lot going on at the Mercato. You should be able to find something you like to eat as there is a decently eclectic mix of offerings. Ample parking both in the garage and behind the stores/some storefront parking. There is some shopping as well but I personally only go to Jos A Bank and that is the extent of my retail exploration at this particular spot. There is about as much "night life" here as you'll find in Naples. Definitely monitored closely by law enforcement and I do not recommend drinking and driving anywhere, but definitely not in Collier County or anywhere near the Mercato. Enjoy! read more

Everyone told me this is place to be for the younger crowd in Naples. Had this outdoor mall been anywhere else I would've said "meh" to it, but given the limited options for those under 40 in Naples, I recommend a visit. Mercado offers higher-end resturants, bars, and live music venues in between a mix of retail shopping, casual resturants, and condos. The shopping center is clean, new, and beautiful, offering a contrast to Old Naples, the other popular area in Naples. Mercado has a small green space for dogs and kids to play and it appears they offer movies and music on the weekends. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and a Sunday evening and found that the Saturday afternoon was slower than expected- this would be a great place for a brunch or an afternoon drink. Sunday evening proved to be way busier with families, couples, well behaved dogs and everyone in between. They have a great coffee shop in the middle of the area, that we visited twice during my trip. It does a have a "see and be seen" vibe to it, so dress to impress. I visited in an Old Navy sundress on Sunday evening and felt a bit out of place without a designer name on. read more

Splurged with the young, the rich and the glamorous. Tons of bars, food for foodies, drinks that cost a pretty penny but are worth it, wierd men dressed in skin suits prowling the streets, Viagra martini bar where you can swelter in puffy clouds of cigar smoke and Cougars dressed in their very best.
