I've been in Lisbon five days and it's on my last day that I discover this place. :-(…read more Every bite of every dish I was served here made my tongue do somersaults! My taste buds got together and learned Portuguese they could write a thank you note to the kitchen staff. I took photos of everything including the signature cocktail and made my social media friends look at them. This place rocks! (Literally. They have a rocking playlist and live music at night.) No matter your appetite, this place has snacks and full entrees that span a range of palate-pleasers. You cannot go wrong here ordering something out of the ordinary or sticking with what's familiar. The staff are always in motion serving patrons and checking on tables. They seem very happy working together as a team. Their smiles were not just for guests but for each other. Comfortable indoor seating as well as relaxing outdoor seating to accommodate any size of party. Happy Hour specials and 2-for-1 pizza Sundays after 7 PM make this a great spot for anyone on a budget. They do not skimp on creativity or flavor. Treat yourself and try them early in your stay. You'll be better off than me with the option of returning here once more before you have to go back home. Manga!

Didn't have much expectations thinking it was gonna be a tourist trap but I was wrong everything came out to be exceptional. My group got 2 pitchers of their sangria and it was delicious and tasty. Their seafood is pretty fresh and everything came out to be very flavorful. I personally enjoyed the camarones y cahuil which is shrimped drenched in garlic and butter. Only mistake we had was the pizza and ceviche but nonetheless everything else was delicious. Big plus is the atmosphere. Music was on point and the vibe was what we needed after a long day. Would recommend this place if your in the area. Take note they have happy hour for drinks and their cocktails are exceptional.

I'm gonna say that our lunch at A Cevicheria probably was one of the best meals that we had during…read moreour short stay in Lisbon. Just a heads up: Although the restaurant has a outdoor section, that section is more of a waiting section since they do not have lunch/dinner service in that section (as of August 2026). With four groups (2-3 people) in front us, we only had to wait about 20 minutes to get a couple of spots at the bar. However, we efficiently used that time by having a bottle of wine and enjoying the sights (particularly of the Hippo tour buses) while we waited. Another heads up: From our understanding, the restaurant does not accept reservations, so it might be best 1. to dine here for lunch (less of a wait) and 2. to keep your party small (3-4 people). For our dining pleasure, the two of us went with the Selección Cevichera, which included six courses for about 87 euros. Although this meal came with six courses, some might think that the portion sizes are "small". However, I thought it was pretty decent deal (from a tourist's POV). The tasting menu included 1) prawn croquettes, 2) tuna belly with a passionfruit and basil (I think) sauce, 3) tuna and beets (very yummy), 4) Atlantic sea bass, 5) dulce de leche & lime. Oh, crap, I forgot something. Oh well. From top to bottom, all of our courses were absolutely delicious. I think my favorite was the tuna and beets dish. While everything was amazing, I thought the serving of prawn croquettes was way too small. Since we sat at the bar, we had the chance to see the chefs perform their beautiful magic of preparing the food and placing them on the plates in such an elegant fashion. Our server, who I think was also the manager, was absolutely wonderful and quite funny. Someone should bottle his energy and personality because he contributed to making our meal an absolute delight. The ambiance was very inviting, even with the huge octopus hanging from the ceiling. The restaurant is a bit on the small side, which I think adds to its intimate charm. Like I mentioned earlier, it might be best to keep your party size from 1 to 4 people. I assume that a dinner party of more than folks would lead to an extended period of waiting. All in all, I would gladly like to repeat my experience at A Cevicheria during a future Lisbon visit.

Their pisco sours were the smoothest piscos I've ever had -- definitely order one (or two). We ordered their recommended salmon & dragon fruit ceviche, the anticuchos (like skewers) of black pork belly and roasted octopus, and lobster & shrimp causitas (4 pieces) which were kind of like a single bite nigiri but over a potato biscuit. All the dishes were delicious and drool worthy. Seafood was very fresh and tasty. Not the cheapest meal in Portugal, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and would come back. Staff was super friendly and kindly explained the different parts of the menu so we could better decide what to order. The interior is bright, not too many seats, but there's a giant octopus hanging from the ceiling. Definitely recommend giving them a try if you're in the area and like seafood!
