I called on November 16th and November 22nd trying to speak to my provider about a referral that needed updating. I never received a phone call back either time. I was in need of an updated referral for a specialty appointment I have at Duke on the 30th. I made this appointment with Duke months ago under a referral that was active at the time. I called Primary and Immediate care back today, the 28th, to see what the status was and was told I needed to come in and see my provider to get an updated referral. Today is Tuesday, and my appointment is Thursday. If they had bothered to call me back either one of the two times I called previously, coming in would not have been an issue. So, I just paid out of pocket for the appointment I have scheduled on the 30th at Duke because they will not see me without the referral. If you value your provider seeing you as anything but a source of revenue, don't bother with this clinic. I personally liked the providers, but hated the way the clinic was ran.

The orders were supposed to be called into the 24hr Walgreens. That did not happen. I called my insurance company and they verified that there was no prescriptions waiting. I am extremely frustrated and angry. By the time I realized there was no prescriptions waiting at Walgreens their office had already closed for the day. And then I go this morning to find out that they're closed on Thursday as well. I left multiple messages on their answering machines with no call back as of yet. What a waste of time it was to go to this "Urgent care". I will now have to schedule an appointment with our primary Doctor and wait even longer before my son can get the medicines he needs and I now have to pay even more money for a second Doctor visit. We went here because it was after hours for our primary Doctor and we wanted to get relief for my son ASAP but in the end we did nothing but waste our time and increase the time it took to get medicine for my son. If it's an emergency and you have no where else to go, then by all means go. However there wasn't…read moremuch here that I could recommend. The nurses were nice. The staff is a different story. Brother had surgery here and no one knew what the other was doing and was little help with thinking through recovery. The security guards who do the "information" know nothing about the hospital! One guard was on her phone and wasn't helpful at all. One of the entrances closes at 5 pm and the sign says to go through the emergency room entrance. When I did, I had another guard tell me that it's the front entrance and the sign needs to be updated! As a primary caregiver, I felt ill-prepared to take care of my brother. Not many of my questions were answered! I left with more than I brought. Don't get me started on the food! I got better food from my elementary cafeteria. No one should have to eat like that! Get your stuff together!
