So I decided to get a haircut prior to a second date which was literally the worst idea ever! The hairstylist was a guy with silver hair and i asked him for "Kim K" LONG layers, he was very chatty which I didn't mind at all but he did reveal that he worked at a lot of hair salons which did alarm me and at that moment i probably should have told him to stop and walk right out the door because I ended up with a mullet... My hair was originally very long (26inches long) now tell me how the hell did I get a mullet!? Now I didn't say much nor get very angry because what can I really do at this point so I paid and left. But omg I could barely even tie it up as it was that short! Mind you this haircut happened a few years ago so he may or may not be there but that mullet haunted me to the point that I felt compelled to write this review at 2am. Be warned guys. P.s I never bothered getting the other services. That's service you can't get at your local drug store. The prices are average and relatively the same. However the quality of products and service cannot be found anywhere. They speak perfect English and are really really really nice! It's easy to park and easy to access right off of highway 7. The shop is stocked with all the great brands and there's more than just hair products! I went in specifically for shampoo. I swim 2-4 times a week and my hair is completely ruined by the chlorine. The owner was kind enough to give me his recommendations and even taught me quite a bit about hair and how to properly care for it! He explained why the products I originally thought of purchasing would not suit my hair and he did it in a very nice and educating way! In the end, I was able to find two products to match together that suits exactly my hair type and my needs. He was so helpful and even helped me save money. If he hadn't helped me, I would have spent a lot more money on products that would so nothing for my hair. I was looking for something quick as it's close to work, so I didn't go to my usual facial bar. I had 2 cystic pimple that was developing and the lady helping me used a tool on them. She used her nails to "clean" my nose as well. It hurts a lot but I didn't mind them as I assumed a professional was working on my face, she would know what she's doing. Little did I know, coming out of the facial my nose was red (like inside bleeding red when you try to extract something too hard) and it took 4 days for this to be gone. That's not even the worst part - both of my cystic pimples that she "worked her magic" on, caused such a bad scarring and even 3 weeks after the scarring is now permanent. I come here because it is super close to where I work and it is so easy to pop in during the day and get my eyebrows done. I am normally a DIY kind of person, but I realized that my eyebrows needed help back in October and have been coming here ever since. The woman that does the aesthetics is very nice and good at what she does. She is quick and pays very close attention to detail. She offers threading and waxing, I go between the two depending on the situation. I've had other waxing services done here as well and was really impressed with the results compared to other places I've tried over the years. The prices are good too. The room at the back of the salon is small, but tidy. It's definitely not a spa but she works well in the space she is given. I might actually come here for other aesthetic services (facial, main, pedi), but based on the previous reviews, steer clear of the hair styling.
