We tried contacting several spas and massage providers who either didn't have the availability or didn't respond back. Finally, I texted Metta on the number listed on their website and they responded within a few hours. We were able to schedule sessions for the time and day we wanted via text which was very convenient. My masseuse called out sick the day of so I was paired with Forest. My boyfriend was paired with Tav. Both providers were friendly and accomodating. My boyfriend LOVED his massage with Tav. He said he dozed off a few times and could see himself coming back every month - such a great sign for someone new to massage. I enjoyed my session with Forest as well and left feeling relaxed. A few things to note: they don't provide couples massages but instead do tandem massages. Meaning, you're in different rooms. This wasn't a dealbreaker for us but could be for others depending on your preference. They also still require masks here. We brought our own surgical masks but were asked to use their K95 masks they provided. This was a little uncomfortable during the service, especially while facing down, but I can understand the need if they have a lot of immunocompromised clients or staff members.

For approximately the past three months, there has been ongoing trash accumulation and illegal dumping in the rear alley serving the property. Bulk items and loose debris have remained unaddressed despite multiple reports to the City, and the conditions have not improved. In addition, there was a recent late-night disturbance involving individuals associated with the property. This included loud yelling in the street, people entering neighboring property (including a garage area), and public urination. At one point, an individual exposed himself in view of others, including a minor. Multiple calls were made due to safety concerns, but the situation continued for hours. This is an otherwise quiet, owner-occupied block, and the repeated issues tied to this property raise concerns about sanitation, safety, and overall property management. I hope steps are taken to address these issues and prevent further disturbances.

What's even more concerning is that this does not appear to be an isolated incident. Other family members and callers have reported being placed on hold for extended periods (15+ minutes) and then having their calls abruptly disconnected without explanation. If a patient is unavailable or there are communication restrictions, that should be clearly communicated. Repeatedly placing callers on hold and disconnecting calls creates unnecessary stress for families trying to check on their loved ones. For a facility that provides mental health care, a higher level of professionalism, communication, and empathy should be expected. unfortunately, my experience has not reflected that standard.
