This is not a review about the doctor (The doctor is great) this is a review for the ladies at the front desk. We will be driving twice a far to have a place for our kid that is not rude, and knows how to run a business. The only recommendations I have for this place is... DO BETTER!!!

The pandemic was a crazy time and moving right before it, found me with no primary care doctor…read moreduring the worst public health crisis in over a hundred years. So i had to find a doctor quick... just in case. I remember looking up reviews on both google and yelp for reviews for doctors in town... and even in nearby Lima and Delphos. This is by the way not very helpful as there is a dearth of reviews for medical professionals it seems. I don't remember exactly why i chose Van Wert Family Physicians, but i called in to the office and asked to become a new patient. I was directed to fill out some paperwork online. I did so. Now there are a number of doctors who work there, i asked to be seen by Dr. Kristen Pollock, who my mother was already using. Super happy i did. She is awesome! Great doc... caring, honest. The visits i had during the pandemic were all virtual, it wasn't until a year later i got to meet and have a full check up with her but it was a crazy 2020. Honestly, i don't think i have had such a good doctor since my pediatrician back before i became an adult. Maybe i am just used to things being different in Miami, Florida where i am originally from. Health care there... sucks. Your a number, nothing more. Even when you are seeing someone who cares, they are incredibly busy and overworked. They only have so much time for you. Dr. Pollock takes time to make sure you are healthy and stay healthy. The staff is wonderful overall. Its never difficult to get a hold of someone to make an appointment nor to talk to the nurse if i have some issue. And talking about times, unlike Miami... you see your doc at your scheduled appointment time.. no waiting hours to see one. Van Wert Family Physicians also is where i got my covid shots... happy to have gotten them! Just love the level of care this place gives! If you are looking for a good primary care/family doc! Come here!

They are always willing to help and truly concerned about the outcome of the treatment. The staff is always extremely polite and welcoming to anyone who comes through the door. This is hard for me to write…read more A while back my mother got a mammogram at her doctor and she told my mother she should get a core biopsy. Her primary care had found calcifications in the mammogram and she wanted it checked out. My mother went and got the biopsy at the Women's Health Center in Lima. After a week, she was asked to come in for her test results. The test results were being given to her the day before Thanksgiving and since I was off work, i told her I would take her and then we could have brunch together. It was easy finding the health center as it is in the same medical center as my dermatologist. We went inside and she checked in. We sat in the waiting room for about five minutes before we were called in and were taken to a room which looked like an office. I started to get worried because, this didn't feel normal to me. Two women then walked in and introduced themselves to me. One was the doctor who performed the biopsy, the other was a social worker.... and the doctor informed us my mom has breast cancer. I literally felt the room spin on me. I must have obviously reeled or showed something because they wanted to make sure i was ok. I wasn't but i tried to compose myself. The doctor told us about what was found, and the plan. They had a team of doctors... a surgeon, a oncologist, a radiological oncologist who would be working with her along with the social worker. The social worker would be there for my mom thru things and we were given the information on what we needed to do. They also said the surgeon would come to the womens health center the next week to check her over. I am thankful and appreciative that the Women's health center found my mom's cancer so we can do something about it. I am also happy so many of the services are there and will be there like the social worker and the radiological oncologist. At the center i noticed that there is also a wig center located inside that my mother may end up having to use. Like i said, this was difficult to experience and write about. All i can say is this... if you are a woman, get routine mammograms. Get checked out!

When you move to a new place... you have to find a new doctor. Staying healthy... especially during…read morethis time of pandemic is paramount. I got a list of doctors that are in network from my insurance and I chose this doctor because he had an office so close to my home. Loved the experience here. No wait! I actually saw him at appointment time... back in Miami I had to wait hours after my appointment time to see my doctor. Dr.Monger reviewed my medical history, asked me questions... was super professional. I was certainly looking forward to continue seeing him... but about a week ago I was informed by his office he was moving his practice. Well I can't really blame him... I guess I have to look for a new doctor again.

I swear I think I have written more reviews of hospitals, medical centers, doctors and other health…read moreoriented centers this year than ever. Why? My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer back in November 2021, and the cancer spread partly into her lymphatic system. It has been a journey first through surgery, then chemo and now radiation. She came for a month's worth of radiation treatment at Lima Memorial Cancer Institute and I am thankful for the care she received here. My mother always said everyone here treated her very well. She has since finished with her radiation treatment. Hopefully this journey ends soon on a positive note, we are still going thru it... still thankful for the help we received from this cancer treatment center.

I have come to Van Wert Health for blood work and others tests since moving to the area many times…read morenow. This has been especially the case since i have been taking medication for at least six months that requires i have monthly blood work until i am off it. My previous experiences with blood work and/or other medical analysis have been with Quest Diagnostic Centers when i lived in Miami. It was a chain of diagnostic centers where their level of service greatly differed based on which one you went to and even sometimes what day you went/who was attending you. You may get someone friendly, or someone surly. Sometimes you had a great experience... others a terrible one... and the wait times were ridiculously long. Van Wert Health, on the other hand, is completely different. I have not had a single bad experience with them. Everyone on the staff is friendly and courteous. Longest wait time i had was 20 minutes... and that was one time... usually i check in and i am immediately called. If you need lab work done in the area, definitely come here!

Most recently started taking my mom here to the Women's Center in building 4. World class care here. Best dermatologist I ever went to.
