Don't believe them when you are told "we spoke to your insurance and this is your portion for the procedure". You'll get billed for contracted dr to read a report, but won't be told. SLEEP STUDY OVERNIGHT.. Be careful. I had an overnight sleep study done August 2023 and got bug bites. I am beyond mad. I hate leaving a negative review for Mercy. After terrible experiences at Washington Regional and Northwest, most of our experiences with mercy have been great. But this visit was atrocious. A nearly four hour ER wait. My wife could not hold down anything, including water. She's a type 1 diabetic, meaning her blood sugar can bottom out quickly and the inability to eat or drink anything is potentially deadly in short order. Nearly a four hour ER wait. Doctor came in, said there's no sign of infection so there's nothing they can do but give her nausea meds. When we mentioned the type one diabetes and her inability to hold anything down if her blood sugar goes low, he said, "you mean the opposite right?" Like he doesn't understand what the hell type 1 diabetes is and thinks it's type 2. Did this man even make it out of med school? I'm at my wits end. Mercy was our last option. If the care here starts plummeting to the garbage level of regional and Northwest then we have nothing left in an emergency. This is disgusting. They even kept misdiagnosing her with gastroparesis when despite us telling doctors over and over that it doesn't make sense even with what they're saying. A gastric emptying study revealed it in fact *can't* be gastroparesis and is a hatial hernia causing her to have difficulty keeping food down periodically. The nursing staff had consistently been great, but it's only a small minority of doctors in the entire area that are not arrogant condescending pricks who aren't 00% sure they're always right and.get offended when you give the slightest suggestion that their conclusion doesn't make sense. read more

Went in for a visit for multiple issues I was having. Saw Dr Andrew Leuders. Walks in, sits at the computer and types. And types. I told him I was having an issue that I had as a kid. He proceeded to tell me he didn't really know how to treat an 82 yr old woman. I looked at him and saw red. I'm 62! Oops! I asked who in the room was 82. No apology. Just typing. I am tired of being treated like a bother. I don't go to Dr appointments for this very reason. I was in tears on the way home. I have a very bad depression happening. Didn't care what he had to say after his comment. It's still not being treated. I wrote asking for my medical records and refuse to ever go back. Another dr sent in a referral to a specialist over a month ago. I think they forgot. I got a call today for it. I now treat myself. I'd love to turn the Dr in for the way he treated me in his office. You are a dr. Not God! Listen when someone tries to talk to you. You are a very rude man. I've been your patient for 10+ years. Came here the other day to the ER. It was an unfortunate visit, but good at the same time. Our daughter was having a horrible cough (hard time breathing and almost vomiting) and I did not feel comfortable waiting to go to the doctors (it was in the morning around 6am). We luckily had a 1 minute wait at the ER. We were checked in quickly and a nurse came out soon to take us back. ALL of the people we came into contact with here were super friendly. They were so good with our daughter (2 years old). The people definitely made the visit good and run smoothly and relatively quick. The doctor was Dr. Johnson. He was so nice and awesome with our daughter. He is so good with kids! Luckily our daughter only had a upper respiratory infection and nothing worse. Our visit was pretty short. The doctor and nurses gave us some good advice with how to help our daughters sickness. The only thing that was a bummer is the price. My eyes got big when I saw the price tag. I know that health (sick) care is expensive, but it was just hard to swallow since it was a quick trip and nothing was really used in the process. Obviously our insurance comes into play with the price too. I just wish it wasn't so expensive, but our daughter is worth every penny. read more

Husband went to this emergency room following a bout with a virus that left him extremely weak and dehydrated. Pros: Nice facility. Fast check-in. No waiting on a Friday morning. Cons: after finally getting my husband on an IV to get some fluids In him, they immediately tried to draw blood for labs. His veins were flat due to the dehydration. Instead of leaving him alone for awhile, they continued to try to draw blood. Four staff people (2 from the lab) poked my husband 8 different times and couldn't find a vein or get enough blood. Never had a problem with this place. Unlike the hospitals in springdale & fayetteville. Nurses are always on time & are always friendly. I promise as long as it's still in the area, I'll be going to mercy's hospital from now on. Springdale hospital took us almost 2 to get a room, & another hour to see a dr. As a new mom, and a baby with temp of 105. That's pretty scary. Fayetteville took an hour and half to get us a room, but nurses were in the hall way laughing & joking. Didn't bother to see why my daughter, crying & scratching , had hives up to her head. (My hubby had hives before & he couldn't breathe). After waiting for another hour, hives going down, we left to mercy's hospital... It's ridiculous. read more

Worst place ever. I too was treated like trash from my first appointment and on. I was recently separated, move May 30 to a brother. He died 3 weeks after I made plans for there. Then move to AR June 11th. I only wanted to establish my health PCP. A NP saw me earlier due to my crises and the fact I was out of my meds. Check in and wasn't. Waiting 1 hour no one. Escalated by knocking. "Oh, who are you"? Took medical records back 7 years. A CD. They don't take it. Some paper records. NP short, abrupt, not nice. " You will not get this, this, change this" without discussion. Trying to DISCUSS I was told to leave the office, go back to check in. This treatment caused me to call the VA hotline. I reached a breaking point with no help from MERCY. Went to VA, immediately got mental PCP and we worked together as it should be. After a PCP from Mercy called for new appointment and I was told "you will not get this, this, this without discussion. Bye, escalation doesn't work. Your online Mercy program isn't seen or even accessible to these people but you are to fill questionnaires before the visit. People this is a travesty. The Hippocratic Oath of DO NO HARM was so violated to me. Pathetic, no smiles, unhappy workers. What a disaster for patients. Take a witness with you. read more

Would never go there unless I had to. Very 3rd rate joint. Nurses were very careless cleaning a room after a man had bad infection. Little girl was next in the room and it was cleaned all of 5 seconds. Scary! Plus they have no clue how to even take temp or blood pressure. 2 totally different nurses. My 17 year old son went for his last Pediatric physical, Dr found a mass and was suppose to set us up with Urologist, waited 5 days and called them, nurse told me she couldn't talk to me about my son because he turned 18 on Sunday. I floored i asked her when she was going to call me and let us know this, no answer, i said you don't even have my sons phone number... You tell someone their son has a mass and just let it go. If you need to go to the ER, I would advise using another hospital. I took my daughter into the ER because she had fallen off of her bunk bed and hit her head. Right from the start of our visit things were off the man at the counter was new and very disorganized upon being taken back a male nurse came to check in on us he asked what was wrong I told him he then said she looks fine to me I'll advise the doctor to send her home, I was shocked by his attitude he was very short and rude (he was not a nurse practitioner) much to my surprise when the DR came in Dawn Renee Hawkins MD she had taken the nurse's diagnoses she asked my daughter one question then refused to do an exam on her. This resulted in us taking my daughter to dr the next day. Shortly after we got a bill in the mail claiming an exam was done and that they would have to charge even more upon contacting mercy they claim an investigation was done and the dr claims she did an exam this is an out right lie. read more

Took my 16yr daughter in over a bad cough and some wheezing along with fighting getting over bad strep. We had to wait 3.5 hr in the lobby. I understand they go by patient priority. Thats the way it should be. But When we finally get to the back and it's almost 45min later 1:30 am when the Dr gets in there. Then proceeds to ask my daughter what all has been going on to be able to answer her "The Dr" question by her 10 second watch. Or anybody for that matter and then proceeded to tell them to hurry up because they have other patients. And also nobody wants to hear a doctor say is this job worth the money! While she was in the nurse's station supposed to be getting my daughter is prescriptions printed out in the release papers to go home but instead she was taking her time and Non-Stop talkin and griping about her job. And I'm really not sure what she was thinking apparently not correctly because she was going to have my daughter go to school this morning. That would have given her a total of 3 hours of sleep by time we got home. When I asked if they were going to give her an excuse Note 4 School today I was in asked does the School need a doctor's note? If I'm not mistaken I believe the majority of the schools count it as unexcused with out one. But the main thing is who expects a child to go to school when they don't even get out of the ER and not feeling real good till almost 3 in the morning and also give instructions to get plenty of rest and fluids.If i have say in it Never again will this hospital get another dime out of my insurance or my pocket... There seriously needs to be some revaluations in this Hospital or some kind of undercover patients going in there.it's been an uncalled for situations the four times I have had to step foot in that place read more

This review pertains to nourishment available for visitors. The cafeteria and coffee shops are NOT open on weekends and Subway opens late in the morning. This Subway is below par in many ways. Sure there are restaurants nearby but many visitors are elderly and reluctant to get out in the dark and cold. Good luck finding a good cup of coffee at 6:00 am. HORRIBLE!! I'm here for ACL surgery and it has been pushed back a total of 5 hours now. None of the nurses communicate with one another and have asked me the exact set of questions 4 times now. They didn't have the surgical equipment they needed for my surgery, so I'm waiting here ANOTHER 2 HOURS for their mess up. 7 hours of waiting and counting....... read more

DO NOT USE MERCY! Mis-diagnosis by a nurse practitioner twice in one week caused me considerable pain and unnecessary suffering. At the 3rd visit in the same week, I was finally allowed to see a doctor, Dr. E. Wink. At this visit I was given my 3rd examination and 3rd round of prescription drugs. Dr. Wink asked me if I needed a scan for kidney stones. I did not think so, but she insisted. We stated to her, as we had to the nurse practitioner, that we did not have insurance and didn't think we could afford the scan. She told us that the cost would not be more than $1,000.00 and that they would discount it by 30% if we paid at the time of service. With less than $1,000.00 in our account, we reluctantly agreed. 30 days after the scan, we received 2 invoices for a total of $3,832.00. Over 4 months later, the hospital finally investigated this problem. We were not allowed to be present. Dr. Wink lied to the hospital administration regarding our conversation. Fortunately, I have a witness who was in the room with us during each of these visits and this conversation. I have offered many times to pay the $700.00 that we agreed to. The hospital will not agree to accept it. I am now being hounded by the hospital and collection agent. DO NOT USE MERCY, I will not use them again. read more

I went to the ER, everyone was nice, to your face. As soon as they left the room they wold make nasty comments and made me feel like an idiot for even coming there. The doctor did not even know the names and purposes of numerous diagnostic tests, for instance I went for leg swelling and pain of unknown origin, and she diagnosed me with unintended weight loss...They claim to assist in obtaining PCP for people who do not have one but told me to call the Mercy physician finder, which, when I did, the representative said...you have Medicaid so I can't help you. 7/2015 - I took my son into the ER. Dr. Mendy Corter (PA) was on-call. My son was traumatized by the blood draw, which was made worse by Nurse Bob yelling at my son's face that he would do it again if he (my son) moved. Mendy Corter doesn't have any authority to actually treat the patient. Everything she does has to be signed off by the MD on call. We NEVER saw the MD who authorized treatment and released my son from the hospital. I filed a complaint with Mercy and they have denied any knowledge of the incident (screaming). Either it's their standard of care to scream in a scared 7 year old boy's face, or they are blatantly lying. I am giving 2 stars simply because the treatment Mendy Corter had permission to use helped my son. FYI: We were billed for seeing a MD because of one signed off on the treatment. I have since learned from the physician billing company that a patient in an ER can request to see the MD on call, not the PA assigned. read more
