Situated on the main A556 to Knutsford from Altrincham or ideal if you need somewhere to stay as the pub is linked to the Travel Inn. Also had the squid prepared with a spicy sticky asian sauce but to me it appeared as it may have been mostly from a bottle with maybe some fresh scallions through in. The calamari was quite crispy and I like it more chewy, so minus points here. However, the setting cannot be beat with everything completely illuminated with candles. Definitely the place to take a date to impress, however, if the food/value is your idea of a date, be ready to dump it. All of this being said, it was a well priced room and fulfilled its purpose of a comfy bed to sleep off the wedding drinks!

Think I spent just over 16 quid for maybe 5 or 6 pints. Further, they have a pool table in the side room where the locals teach you about 'free play'. Nifty idea sticking those beer coasters into the pockets so you dont need to pay for each game. Its funny because I think the place would have been dead if one had to pay for each game of pool. In either case, I had a really good time here on both occasions and would suggest it to anyone.
