Craig and his team are very friendly and do communicate regarding specifics of the job. The time it took to complete the job was much longer than originally estimated. Also, the quality of wood used was low quality. The pieces of wood are splitting, shedding, and some have holes in them. There were numerous gates that were installed in the fence. All of the gates have the locking hardware facing toward the outside of the yard which defeats the purpose of having a locking mechanism. Also, all of the gates have been problematic. They do not open and close properly due to the latches and the way the gates are installed. We communicated with Craig for about 6 months regarding the gates not working properly. He came and worked on the gates but they are still not working properly. On one of the gates the wood hits at the top when we try to open it which makes it difficult to open. Overall I would not recommend CW Services. Maybe if you have a very simple job it would work out, but not for an entire fence with gates.

Of course I like many others lost most of my fence thanks to Hurricane Sally, but a wonderful neighbor was able to temporarily patch me back together. I notified my insurance and tried unsuccessfully to get a or any fence company out here to give me an estimate, crickets.... Actually the excuses were leave a message of the size fence you need, to it will be 6-8 weeks before we can get an estimator out there???? Well I wasn't in a rush so I waited, but I was hoping to give myself a new fence for Christmas. I went online to High Steele Fence website & after reading the usual business stuff was amazed to see that with the help of GPS you could actually estimate your own fencing needs. So I did and then sent them an email, I received a reply within 24 hours and the owner Chris came out the next day to double check the measurement, turns out we were exactly the same footage. So I made a contract with them, letting them know I still had to get the ok from insurance, they gladly wrote an estimate and letter as to the amount of damage I had, which was great help and in turn sped up the whole process and a check was cut. The next thing I know I have a start date, and they actually started and the crew they sent which I doubt anyone was over 28 was on time 0700 sharp every day, they were prompt courteous, clean, professional and there was never any goofing off. All in all it took 2 1/2 days from start to finish and they cleaned everything up before they left each day. This was totally terrific teamwork by Seath Appling, Patrick McKown, Colin Emms and James Philyaw. If ever I need another fence project I would not only go with High Steele but would request this same crew, they were stellar. So if you are in need of fence work I would definitely give them a call, price was fair and honest and they were more than helpful with insurance, but I have to say the work by the crew was above and beyond what was you would deal with from most contractors. Of the three fence builders we called for vinyl Gentry Farmhouse was the most professional and knowledgeable Additionally, they use a technique no other company offered. The quote came in the middle of the other two quotes, but the deciding factor for us was the technique and materials they use. They drive 8 ft metal poles inside the posts to give the posts added strength. The poles are driven 4 ft directly into the ground, giving it stability. The gate latches and hinges they use are high quality and made to last. They were able to finish our more than 400 linear feet fence in less than 3 days, and it looks great!
