Hired to replace a garden, remove existing sod and replace at over $9K. Just the very next month, the new sod is riddled with weeds that had not been removed. The sod was also laid unevenly as another reviewer noted. They seemed good intentioned so I contacted them. Result? Basically, "that's your problem." Clearly the company is not capable of performing any level of professional work, nor do they make any attempt to correct their issues. You would be better served by ANY other company. read more

Although they came recommended by the company that does my fertilizing and also a coworker, I am not impressed. I asked for dethatch, aeration and top cover to fill in the low spots per what was suggested by the other company. They changed the appointment without any notice & then asked if I could go unlock the gate for them to get in the back yard. After a while, I did not hear them and went to see what they were doing to only see them drive away. I called the office and was told they had sent me an email earlier saying the equipment needed to spread top cover was down, and they would have to come back to do it. Why even change the appointment to an earlier date if you knew the job could not be completed. I wasn't able to take off of work when they came back and what a flippin' mess. White sand all over the place. I called and received an email explaining why they use white sand and that it might take a couple weeks; however, the low spots are still there. Unfortunately, I was out of town and told them that if they needed to look at it, that it would be a week before I was back and could unlock the gate. While I was gone, they sent a couple emails telling me final payment was due and then overdue. Unfortunately, I did pay them before I returned and have not heard a thing. I had a drainage problem in the back and side of my house. They put in a drainage line that just followed the contour of the land. It did not slope downhill. So, I had a low point at the corner of my house that kept bursting. They repaired it twice and said it was no longer their problem. I had to pay another $3,000 to hire a second company to come in and install pipes that ran downhill. Message to Sandbox Boyz, "Water does not flow uphill." read more

We used this company to aerate, dethatch, provide topsoil, and seed areas. Unfortunately, we were not here to see the work done and left a check. We called that evening to say that we only saw some sanding and no plugs or seed. We were told that we wouldn't see plugs as they were raked up and that the seed was there even though we didn't see it. We waited a couple of weeks and still have no seed growing. Be cautious using this company and be sure to be there to monitor work. read more

Im not sure of the work they perform but the workers are irresponsible with the placement of their equipment. To the point of danger and liability. Heavy equipment and heavy duty trailors parked too close to resident doors. No cones or yellow tape around equipment when they leave. Their job is dirt and seems to be only place they look is at It. If these guys come into your apt complex please be vigilant. I did encounter a very understanding reasonable foreman. Good job guy read more

The staff and team of workers are wonderful to work with, very professional and very hard working. They showed up when they said they would (hard to get someone to do that now days) and they went above and beyond to help and make sure we were happy. The crew smokes on the job then throws the butts in the customers yard, they make fun of customers as soon as they turn their back, they make mower skids in the grass and don't complete the job at hand. Shabby work. read more

Sandboxboyz Landscaping did some small amount of flower and shrub area that was good work. They also removed centipede using a sod cutter to prepare for replacing with Zoysia Sod. The ground was not smooth and compacted which has caused the sod to be uneven. After 9 months sand was used to dress or fill the uneven areas with little change resulting. After several calls and meetings I am ending up correcting the problem myself. They also used centipede to fill in and area about 5'x5' as they ran out of Zoysia, but did not bother to tell me about it. Still waiting for it to be replaced. Do not recommend them to anyone--find someone else is my recommendation. read more
