I have been a nurse since 2005, and Certified Case Manager for about 5 years. I've had the opportunities to work in a few Skill Nursing Facilities. I have never worked in one that is very clean, doesn't smell like a Nursing home and is ran by an awesome Director of Administrator. Thank you again Ellen.

They didn't even get her meds until after 10 pm and she required insulin at 5:30. I asked for beside toilet and they said they couldn't provide anything until pt accessed her. They finally arrived at 9:30 pm. I ordered a recliner from a rental company and she sat in it for an hour or so. Pt was concerned about her edema and leaking legs and said they didn't treat that there. So she shouldn't have been admitted with these issues and should have remained in the hospital but they forced us to take her to rehab. They went to put her in the bed and there was only one cna not two and she " used the bed to do the work" by lowering the head low so she would slide down. She was begging not to have her head down like that. She had fluid in her lungs and she passed out. Where was unresponsive and they had to call ambulance to take her back to er. We thought we lost her. This incident set her way back from the prices she had made in the hospital before arriving there. She died one week later to the day There is not enough help at this place and unless your loved one is somewhat mobile then our going to be hard for them if they stay there.

They offer individual homes, condos, as well as assisted living care. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming and treat everyone with respect. The front lobby of the main building always has a receptionist to assist you. This gated community is a hidden secret and you can catch does and deers as you walk around d the property's. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to downsize and lived more relaxed.

I tore the meniscus in my right knee in November 2025. I knew exactly what it was, because I had…read moretorn my left meniscus several years earlier. I made an appointment to be seen by one of the PAs. She had them x-ray my knee, to make sure there was no bone issue going on. After a physical exam, she told me that I was correct, it was a torn meniscus. She wanted me to get an MRI done to get a good look at it. She did not provide me with anything to help with my knee in the meantime. When I tore my left meniscus, I had been given a brace to wear by the doctor I saw at their Clemmons location. That helped me to continue to be able to walk. Luckily, I still had that brace, so I just wore it for the same amount of time I had been advised to the previous time. The MRI confirmed the tear. The surgeon I saw when I came in for the results of the MRI gave me two options. One was surgery, where they would use a scope to go into my knee and clean out the loose tissue. He said I would be out of work for 12 weeks, possibly less, if I felt well enough to go back sooner. The second option was physical therapy. He said there was a chance it might not help, and it was a very conservative approach to my condition. I almost felt like he was hoping I would say surgery. I opted for physical therapy. Luckily, it worked, and I do not need surgery.

Dealing with the whole experience has seen a definite drop in care. In their rush to pad their bottom line they rush past your concerns. And even though it's memory care you deal with residents that are AL,Skill,Memory and syc! NOT WORTH IT. Management will leaving you hanging, don't help if your short staffed. I wouldn't recommend sending family member there unless you just absolutely hate them. They don't get fed and any drinks after dinner is served at 5pm until the next morning when breakfast is served. And most of them time the residents stay soiled.

Today while parking, I noticed a sign for a farmers market in front of the building. There appeared to be individuals selling honey, fruit, vegetables, and other items on the side of the building. Today my appointment was scheduled on the 3rd floor at the Surgical Specialties Clinic. This floor appears to still have some ongoing construction on one end. Thankfully the elevator made this a convenient and painless trip to my appointment. It was easy to find where I needed to go. This was a very calm and spacious floor during my visit. I even had a nice view while waiting. The VA now has a check-in online option for your appointments. They will text you with a link to do so. If you're not signed up for text notifications, you may ask the staff for assistance to set this up. I still chose to check in with the desk as well. This option could be useful if you're in a rush or simply want to use your device to check in quickly. The reception staff, nurses, and doctors were pleasant and willing to address any questions or concerns I had. I've had past experiences in other clinics here that weren't as pleasant but I have seen progress during my most recent visits with this. There was a bit of a delay with being called to the back for my appointment, which is something that is usually a gamble. Hopefully, this is something that can become better over time as well. If anything that was my only issue today.
