The practice itself is located in an easily accessible location that has plenty of parking, a clean and pleasant waiting area, and short wait periods. This has been my ortho for years doing all 3 of my knee surgeries. I've been through 3 doctors and 2 PA's and I have nothing but great things to say. I've never waited more than 10 minutes to be called back to a room. The staff is super personable and plentiful luckily. When you walk in there is plenty of seating so you'll never search for a place to sit. I absolutely love all the doctors I've had and I've been sad to see them go but I've never been worried because the next doctor has always been equally as great. My current doctor is Doctor Beane and although I've only seen him once he was so honest and compassionate and funny. He explained everything in detail so i could understand what was happening to me and gave me all of my options. I highly recommend this place for ortho and PT read more

This is the second time my appointment has been canceled at the last minute without proper communication. This is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. Patients arrange their schedules around these appointments, and canceling without adequate notice shows a lack of respect for people's time and health needs. They do not seem to take patient treatment seriously. I am still in need of support for my injury, and unfortunately, I cannot receive reliable care here. Waited two weeks for an appointment. Went in on 6/26 for the appointment only to be told then the doctor was not in today. Asked why I wasn't informed prior to driving there and was told "we were just informed ourselves" but you can see a MA instead. I scheduled the appointment to see a specialist for what I was told I truly needed by another EmergeOrtho doctor at a pervious appointment. Place is very convenient for Summerfield residents but really need to either have doctors there when scheduled or have them do their surgery on days not scheduled to be in the office seeing patients. Patients have jobs as well as the doctors and that's why we all have scheduled appointments that need to be kept. Just wish EmergeOrtho communicated as well telling you each and everyday you have an upcoming appointment as they should do when the doctor fails to come into the office to see his/her scheduled patients. read more

Absolute worst experience at medical office I ever had. Emerge ortho messed up my scheduled appointment time, and then had me wait for over 45 minutes just to finally see the new doctor for 5 minutes to tell me to continue to rest, brace, and take pain medicine which I already have been doing, and then had the office staff trying to sell me a brace, in the end charging the visit for over an hour with MOD-HI code $400 is unacceptable. What level of telling me to rest and brace support it? Unbelievable. AVOID. read more

I have been a patient at EmergeOrtho Triad for about 3 years and have found them to be friendly and professional. Dr Gramig did my thumb arthroplasty and repairing a tendon I partially ruptured in a fall. He is great and very patient friendly. I would let him fix my other thumb if it gets arthritic! Then when my right hip became arthritic, I contacted Dr Alusio at EmergeOrtho since he does more hip replacements in Greensboro than any other doctor. He advised me about when I would be ready for surgery and I went back to him when it was time. He also referred me to PrescribeFIT to help me work on my overall health prior to surgery. Kay Baker at PrescribeFIT has been an excellent coach for me and helped me get ready for surgery. She is still advising me in my post-operative recovery and I am thankful I have her advice during my total hip replacement recovery. Dr Alusio and his staff have did an awesome job on my hip. They have continually fielded my questions and brought me into the office for rechecks of my progress. It has been a difficult recovery for me at 72 years old and I appreciate the support I have gotten from them. Everyone in the Triad office has been great. I highly recommend EmergeOrtho Triad for all your orthopedic needs. They have a wide range of doctors who concentrate on areas of the body like hand and hip. Fast intake , X-rays, seen by provider , got a boot fitted and checked out all in 1.5 hrs , and they said there was one person ahead of me which is crazy cause the waiting room had about 70 people in it , but they had regular appointments . Dr. Spears and his PA Bethany Floyd are amazing! Both have impeccable beside manor and knew exactly what was wrong with my elbow. The surgery went amazingly well with a full recovery in less than 6 weeks. The whole team including front office staff were professional and caring. Typical wait time from check in for my appointment to being taken back was about 5-10 minutes. Once the nurse got done with the initial details, the doctor was in the room shortly after, spent appropriate amounts of time with every visit, and left no questions unanswered. I really like the doctors here but the 1st floor facility is a mess. I've been here twice with set appointments, back injections. Both times the wait was well over an hour and a half minutes from the scheduled appointment time. What they call the waiting room (actually a hallway with some chairs against the wall) often has no seats available. I've never seen a more poorely run scheduling system or a cheaper. This location should be ashamed of how poorly things are being managed with scheduling and their overall 1st floor facilities at the northline location. read more

I just returned from my 3rd attempt for a follow up appointment after surgery. My drive is 36 miles round trip for a total of 108 miles driven. Each time i sat in the waiting room for over 40 minutes only to be advised that the Dr. is 1-2 hours behind, of course i did not wait.This is totally unacceptable. The best!!!! I was able to get in for an appointment quickly because of he level of pain I was having. Dr. Creighton diagnosed me with carpal tunnel and trigger finger in my right dominant hand and carpal tunnel in my left. So farI have had surgery on my right hand and everything is healing just fine. I went to see Dr. Swinteck and get a temporary relief for my left knee today. He refused to give me a painkiller and ordered an MRI. I had high hopes but it takes more than a good location. I may have gotten the worse doctor they employ. He never touched on inspected the injury and never looked at the X rays they took or offered to go over them. He went right for the most invasive and expensive procedure he could do then and there. Asking about insurance coverage as I am on Medicare he told me he wanted to stop accepting Medicare as soon as next year. Another rush now for treatment. No explanation of options or care. At the start of the day the place was slammed and the staff handled everything so well! Everyone we encountered was so friendly! My son got hurt at a Scout meeting the night of 1/10/22 and I was able to successfully book an appointment for the following morning. When we got to EmergeOrtho we learned the appointment booked for Wednesday and my heart sank because I had a feeling my sons arm was broken, but that feeling went away so fast after the lady said, I'm gonna cancel tomorrow and put him in for 9! She handed me the iPad, got everything filled out, and within minutes of returning the iPad my son was called back. X-ray tech followed minutes later, then the doctor following. Awful experience. Front desk was the highlight of my time spent. If you're into being left in the dark with little information provided, and the professional attitude of lumping all humans together that I'm sure is necessary in the profession of physical health and high speed care for quick capital, then this will probably be a great fit. However I believe we are multi dimensional beings, and if you're dealing with layers of trauma and hold true care of humans close to your heart this place will fall short. I take responsibilty for my "deer in headlights" reaction to medical facilities, but even with my limited understanding of these professions I have to say I'm dissapointed in myself for allowing my Primary Care to refer me to a facility like this and following through when I knew it was wrong. Beware of price gouging on medical supplies. I fell off my bike and hyperextended thumb. I went in for an x-ray to determine if the thumb was broken, it wasn't but had damaged the UCL. They placed my hand in a semi-rigid splint with ace bandage wrap and made an appointment with the hand surgeon. Came back for the appointment, they took the old splint off and replaced it with a smaller brace. The physican wanted an MRI, they sent me on my way, I was not charged for the new brace. Several weeks later I get a bill from DJO medical supplies for $168 for this brace which would reguarly cost $15-$25. Total price was close to $200, my insurance paid $34. This is outrageous and unethical, price gouging at its best. Damn! the MRI cost $200 out of pocket. A $200 splint? I should of been told up front during the appointment about the cost. Usually you they have you pay for the medical supplies at the front desk. I called the claims dept about the bill. They gave me the round around, basically the reply from them sounded pre-recorded. I don't know where to start explaining the excellent care I received on my first visit here. My appointment was not until 10:00. I arrived at 9:20 and was called back at 9:30. I did not get the lady's name that checked me in but she was very very polite. The x-ray tech as well as the nurse assisting Dr. Beane were very polite and making me feel comfortable. When Dr. Bean came into the room he explained everything very thoroughly and quickly calmed me down and showed me step by step what he was going to do. Reading other reviews, it's hard to distinguish the difference between what is the surgical side and what is the physical therapy side, though they are both Greensboro Orthopedics , they are 2 different entities. With that being said, this review is for the Physical Therapy side. My daughter has had to have several surgeries over the past 10 years or so and she has used G.O. several times. The only complaint I have about the business is the call center. It almost seems as if they hate to make appointments for the PT side. It's hard to have a nice conversation because it's like it irritates them to even deal with you. Now, we've never dealt with surgery side so it may just be the call center all together. If you're expecting a call back from them, you should just plan on calling them back cause you'll have to anyway. As for the front desk staff... They all have always been nice and courteous and always did their work with a smile. I have nothing but positive stuff to say about them. G.O. Is a place that is by appointment only. We have never had to wait long unless we showed up too early for our appointment but that's on us. As for the Physical Therapists... my daughter has never complained about any of them. However, there is one that she has worked with several times and request by name every time she has to have PT. Her name is Sam and as a father, I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done to help my daughter. I feel she goes above and beyond her regular duties to help her clients. If you ever have to have PT and I hope you don't but if you do, I highly recommend Greensboro Orthopedics and if you want to chose a Therapist that has a rave review, ask for Sam. read more

The check in was a very nice lady, however the NP Sarah we saw who barely did anything in accessing the problem and admitted she had no idea what was causing the neck swelling. She prescribed medications that we specifically said could not tolerate. Not to mention it took a couple hours to even get the script called in to pharmacy. Many calls and extreme wait times on hold. Very disappointed in the care at this facility and I will NEVER consent to seeing NP Sarah again who works with Dr Ramos. It was extremely obvious this NP was very new and inexperienced, and resorted to ordering x-rays, MRI, expensive medications, follow up ( in 2 months), etc to a self pay patient to get us out the door. Working the system to make money is all I see in this visit. As a retired RN, I am well aware it is only a couple years more schooling and they are considered like a MD. Extremely less training but that is what we are left with. Sad in this country. Please know I am not even talking about scheduled pain medications. She outright refused to order the muscle relaxer previously taking. The only thing they will give for swelling and intense pain is NOTHING. The results of the opioid epidemic is hurting regular people in pain, which then contributes to the epidemic. Practitioners are SO AFRAID to order anything except basic over the counter medications. It was a waste of 250.00 to see her. I Do not recommend Emerge Ortho with Dr Ramo's NP Sarah. read more

This place is busier than a bee hive, with long wait times in both the lobby and the waiting/ exam room. I've been here twice now, the first time having to wait in the check-in line for 10+ minutes (the line was out the freaking door!). I was seen by the doctor within 30 minutes of my appointment time, which is reasonable in the world where doctor's commonly show up whenever the hell they want. The second time I wasn't seen until over an hour after my scheduled appointment time. Unless the doctor is coming from surgery where he saved somebody's life, this is just unacceptable. I like the Dr. I see (Dr. Barnes), but the management of this place needs help. There are so many people here you can't help but feel like you are part of a patient puppy mill. If I had to come here regularly, I would find another office. NOTE: some reviews of this office are for the rehab clinic, which is a separate area on a different floor. I have extensive arthritis and have been a patient of this large practice since 2001. I highly recommend them. I have seen Dr. Ramos, Dr. Olin, Dr. Collins, and Dr. Ortmann. The nurses are very caring and the P.A.'s are knowledgeable. The doctors care about you and don't patronize you or dismiss your problems. Because these doctors are very good, they have a very heavy patient load. Please be patient with the staff at this practice (Greensboro). One of the WORST medical practices in Greensboro. Even those who swear by them, eventually get a taste of their longstanding issues which include long wait times, poor scheduling, gruff doctors, and extended waits for appointments. My wife came here for an acute knee issue - doctor said she was just OLD without saying anything else. This is ironic since she was under 60 at the time, very active, appears at least 20 years younger, and is still much younger and in better shape than the fat, old, and very rude doctor. After waiting months for a surgical evaluation on a torn ankle tendon, I waited over 1 hour PAST my early morning appointment time, spent another hour revisiting my medical history and various treatments to date with a variety of personnel, including an inexperienced PA, before the surgeon blew in. The surgeon, speaking only to the PA, described in less than a minute how he was going to re-engineer my ankle, foot, and knee. When I asked a question, it became apparent that he had not even looked at my records or my x-rays and MRIs that were cued up on the monitor nearby. I guess to cover his error, he quickly said he would not perform this very simple tendon repair unless he could do these additional, seemingly unnecessary procedures, requiring over a YEAR just in a wheelchair! Upon leaving, I just happened to check my receipt and found an incorrect charge for x-rays never taken, and then they did not want to believe me. Later, I discovered they billed my insurance for a 40 minute consult of which less than 5 minutes was actually spent with the surgeon. Spent another almost a year trying to clear up this billing "discrepancy". Wasted months waiting for this appointment, and then an entire morning, all for nothing! read more
