First a little background on me:…read more I am a first time mom and had not had my hair colored in more than a year or cut in more than six months. I was in desperate need of a really good cut and color before returning to work (after maternity leave) but also wanted to maximize my time with my daughter. Since moving to Chicago two years ago, I have been unable to find a stylist who I love, or even like for that matter. So I was feeling like my hair would be eternally bland... until I met Christina. A friend of mine works with a lot of stylists for her job (for photoshoots, etc.) and I was telling her about my dilemma. She recommended that I call Christina because she had worked with her before AND because she does house calls. I was sold. Now, the experience: I texted Christina on a Monday evening, we talked for a few moments on the phone, she explained her process, I discussed my needs, and the next morning she was at my house with all of her gear and a Starbucks iced latte for each of us. She was THE BEST. She's completely transparent about pricing. Her prices are exactly the same as what I pay in a salon (there is no added fee for coming to your home), but the entire process is so much more fun and relaxing. We decided to touch up my roots, paint in some lighter pieces (like tortoise shell/balayage/ombre) and then bond my hair with Oraplex. Because she used the Oraplex, we only had to trim a little bit off the ends of my hair, allowing me to keep all of my length. She styled my hair with a beautiful blowout, and it lasted a solid four days! She made great recommendations the whole time, she was really efficient in every aspect of her work, and the whole experience felt much more like a fun girls' day vs. the standard salon experience. For all of these reasons -- and because my daughter adored her -- I give my highest recommendation! I finally feel I've found my stylist, and I'm already excited for my next appointment! xo

They actually answer their phone, are open on Monday, very cute building, great atmosphere, have a lot of cute items (clothing, jewelry, etc.) for sale & I had the EXACT haircut that I have been wanting since we moved back home! My hair stylist was AMAZING!!! Her name is Lauryn, really sweet, cut my hair like the picture I showed her, was funny & very friendly. I'm sure they're all good but I have found my salon & hair stylist and I'm not changing anything! Except for probably my hair style at least a couple times a year & I now have someone who will know what to do!!!!! Started going here for my lashes, went here approximately four times to give Lauren a chance to do…read moremy lashes, every single time. I was not happy with my fills. Consistently had to correct her and fills took no less than two hours. Which normal fills are an hour to an hour and a half. Then, after coming back from vacation, I receive a message from her stating that maybe I should look for a different lash artist because she gets too stressed doing my lashes. I gave her four chances to do my lashes correctly, however, she did not like being corrected, when my lashes were uneven, not the mapping that I asked for or not filled in properly. Not to mention, I asked her to take off the old Lashes and do a complete new set and she did not want to. She stated she did not like doing full sets if she didn't need to. Then she would use the excuse that I didn't have enough Lashes, but other lash artist were able to get my lashes, completely full exactly how I wanted them. Our engagement pics turned out amazing and the sneak peeks we got for our wedding have me dying for the rest of them. Taber and Rachel were both great to work with, coaching us on our poses, giving us funny prompts and making us laugh all day long. Not only is Taber professional, but super relatable too. Which makes taking pictures less stressful. Our ring bearer has autism and she really worked with him to get him comfortable for pictures. We have built a relationship with her and that's how I feel other couples should look at their photographer. She knows us, listened to our wants, and helped us make our day truly magical.

Staff members repeatedly asked me and my mother if we needed help and even ran to get her a shopping bag, which we'd failed to anticipate needing. They have a great selection in store of just about everything. It is, for some reason, very hot in the store.
