Not very professional in the long run. I had to request the crew return to clean things they hadn't. They broke a blind, told me they'd replace it, and then didn't and refused to. They moved my fridge to clean behind it, loosening the ice maker line causing a significant water leak I had to pay an after hours plumber to repair, and they refused to acknowledge it. I initially thought they'd done a decent job, but their customer service is poor. I don't recommend. read more

The apartment I lived in required me to use Merry Maids for my move out cleaning. I lived in a one bedroom, one bath room apartment that was less that 600 sq ft. When Merry Maids arrived, the apartment was already clean. The Merry Maids team stated it would take them 2-3 hours to complete the job. In reality it took 2 people nearly 5 hours! It is insane that it took 2 people 5 hours to clean such a small place that was already clean. In addition, they charged me $420 for their poor quality work. When I came back to check the quality of their work, they had missed multiple areas and had to have them come back to complete the job. I used another service when I sold my 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom house and it took 2 people 3 hours and the did an amazing job. . I strongly recommend against Merry Maids. read more

I have had the same problems everyone else has had. They don't seem like they want business. I've had to call many times to ask about my quote and still have not gotten it yet. Either they are so busy they need to hire new people to help or they are super slow and don't care one bit about their jobs. I'm starting to think maybe I should just open up my own "actual" maid service. read more

The employee that first came to give me an estimate was very polite and gave me a fair estimate. The actual cost was very close to the estimate in fact a little lower. The gal that came to clean my house was very professional and did an excellent job. I am using them again this year to clean my house for my family reunion. read more

Had a very difficult time communicating with this company. After initially having Tammy inspect my home it, I waited several days for her to provide a quote via email, I ended up having to call to remind her. I received the quote later that day or the next. The cleaning service was initially going to be $90/hour for two cleaners, which I thought was a little expensive for general cleaning but that's what it was. After trying to schedule an appointment in repsonse to the email quote, Tammy said she would get back to me and never did. That was 5 days ago about a cleaning I was trying to schedule yesterday. Pretty unimpressed with their customer service and will be looking somewhere else. read more

It ended up costing twice what was estimated and the employees worked slowly (but not thoroughly) and took lots of breaks that I got billed for. When my landlord did the walk-through, I got dinged on several areas that should've been cleaned, including all of the blinds being coated in dust. read more

I live in Manhattan Kansas. This service is 1. Super overpriced $900 start up cleaning for 5 bdr house - seriously it's JUST cleaning. Even in New York City the big apple cleaners are cheaper proportionately. 2. It is NOT a maid service at all, rather JUST a cleaning service (maids empty dishwashers and do laundry and make beds guys!) 3. Over priced. Wait - did I say overpriced? After start up they quoted $180 for weekly cleaning. Like many companies now they try to rope you into repeats and subscriptions, I can see right through it. After that I found a cleaner who charges $110 through a friend - I got a reference from two of her other clients and am very happy. Her start up clean was $140. Merry Maids prices are prohibitive! That does not make me merry nor are they maids. Get real. We may be professionals who need cleaners, but I am not that well off. And none of my friends who are professionals (docs, lawyers and professors) in Manhattan use merry maids. read more

Hired merry maids to do an apartment clean before we moved out. Provided them with a checklist from the apartment complex on what they look for. They completely ignored the list. Still grease in the oven, under the cooktop, dirty cabinets. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE QUALITY RIGHT NOW. I spoke to merry maids and hopefully they fix this. They were prompt in returning my call and explaining their process, asking me if I had any specific focus areas/rental agency move-out checklist, and they were flexible to accommodate our pack-out dates. They don't fulfill the contract. When they come they either have not cleaned a room at all or it was cleaned extremely poorly. They do not use water to scrub sinks or tubs but just wipe them down instead. I have had to have their quality control person come out several times but the problem still exists. They are very expensive and if they don't do the job they were hired to do, it is extortion to take my money. read more
