It's another one of those typical Franconian/Bavarian biergarten/brewery. This has been operating since early 1700's. It has a very nice view looking down on the city. You can spend a very relaxing afternoon in the shade of trees enjoying typical Franconian cooking. The menu may not be as extensive as other locations, but it's very satisfying. This year we were visiting and met the owner, Robin, and had a fabulous visit. Had to come try the restaurant; it was one of the best meals while in Germany. Better than the meal we had on Rothenberg earlier today. The old feel is something that cannot be replicated. Classic Franconia food. Eating in a castle, old dark timbers, great food, great beer, and great service. Bring the kids, our 14 year old loved the goulash.
