Pleasant music was playing inside. The establishment is clean, spacious, and welcoming. There was plenty of parking out front as well. I am always indecisive when ordering my drinks. I always want to try something new, and I just cross my fingers that it turns out well. It works for me. Katie is the owner, and she is delightful. She is informative and loves what she is doing here. I went with her recommendation and got the fall special - Witches Brew tea. It had grape, kiwi, and strawberry in it. It is fruity and flavorful! I went with a Strawberry Cheesecake shake with Graham cracker topping. She makes sure it doesn't just taste like vanilla. Creo que vale la pena señalar que cuando me senté por primera vez, el bar estaba sucio y grasiento y tal vez debería haberme ido en ese momento, pero le pedí al camarero que lo limpiara y lo hizo. Pero ahora que mi dinero está en tu bolsillo, quieres dar prioridad a la limpieza, vamos. Esto no es de ninguna manera genial, educado, respetuoso, apropiado, profesional o necesario en lo que a mí respecta. Le dije al camarero que se relajara y le pregunté en español: "¿quién es el gerente?" Y lo señaló. Fui directamente al gerente y expresé mi desdén e inmediatamente intentó culpar a la barrera del idioma de los camareros por el malentendido (salvaje, irrespetuoso y audaz) en lugar de escuchar, disculparse o hacer algún tipo de concesión (que no estaba buscando). Así que, en resumen, tenemos un hombre asiático, que no es muy competente para hablar inglés, arrojando sombra/atacando a un hombre mexicano que simplemente estaba haciendo su trabajo según las instrucciones, hablando de manera falsa y desdeñosa a un hombre africano que resulta ser muy fluido en español, esto casi suena como una broma, ¿no es así?, ja, ja, pero no lo fue. El acento del hombre asiático era significativo, pero lo entendí lo suficientemente bien como para saber que estaba en algunas bs y el quid del asunto es que nunca hubo una barrera del idioma, simplemente no se preocupaba lo suficiente por mí ni por mi experiencia como para intentar escuchar ni empatizar. Estoy seguro de que esta persona ha tenido éxito con esta táctica de eludir la responsabilidad a expensas de otros que carecen de la capacidad o el poder para expresarse/defenderse por cualquier razón y eso no debería estar bien. No estoy seguro de por qué esta persona es así y, sinceramente, no me importa lo suficiente como para averiguar por qué, tal vez se despertó y decidió ser un payaso ayer... bueno, hizo un gran trabajo, cada circo necesita un buen payaso. De un solo golpe, esta persona convirtió una experiencia de servicio al cliente mediocre en algo más pernicioso y no tan sutilmente racial en absoluto... y estoy seguro de que no fue su primera vez. Sea cual sea su nombre, señor, debería avergonzarse de sí mismo... nadie le debe nada, pero se lo debe a sí mismo para ser una mejor persona, trabaje en eso. 1. deje de tirar a las personas trabajadoras debajo de los autobuses que no tienen nada que ver o no tienen poder sobre sus decisiones de negocio/gestión. 2. I saw the name and ohh-ahh'd and pulled into a parking spot. It was raining, so we hustled out of the car and then had to run back for required masks. I lapped the store twice picking up various crystals and had to restrain myself greatly! Prices were excellent and I loved the huge selection! It's a small store and surprisingly busy even with the rain- but as often as customers were walking in- some were exiting with their new purchases. I bought a gorgeous piece of malachite- polished on one side and raw stone on the other. I also found a point of ruby zoisite that I couldn't resist- they had several amazing pieces of this stone that I wanted to scoop up! I think I also grabbed some Santo Palo for the house & a couple of candles. They have an extensive selection of semi-precious stones, polished and raw, candles, tarot cards, jewelry, smudging tools and more! It probably took her ten minutes for both our orders so not to slow or fast. She refused to use our reusable cups, because they were not Smoothie King brand cups. I find Smoothie King locations all seem to differ on if they will use a reusable cup, but this was the first place that said the reason was that they wanted you to buy a Smoothie King cup. The bathroom was clean and had a bunch of superhero art up. The store itself seems pretty clean if albeit a tad small. Parking isn't an issue either since SK is located in a big strip mall.
