Cutomer service does not exist. Why have a "Contact" page, on a web site, if there is NEVER a response. If they cannot respond to an email, I don't want to hound them about what is happening with my car, if it was at their shop... If you call, and nobody answers, there is No recording. I called 2 times. I do not have Millions of dollars, but enough to build a Hot Rod. But, I don't believe I will be taking my car here here. I don't want to talk to a Sales Guy on the phone to have them embarrass me, about not opening my Checkbook wide enough. And, judging by other reviews, and Centerfolds in magazines, it appears they cater to the super wealthy and that is not me. Other shops are friendly, willing to help, respond to email's, overall very pleasant. They have given me quotes for front and back frame stubs, complete frame, and Opportunity to bring my car to their shop (I won't say who). They made me feel I was important, even though I am not. They have earned my business with some very easy customer service. I will tell you what I really like... I will give them One EXTRA star for building some extreme Awesome rides! Maybe you guys just need a web Manager and email responder, or some basic classes in customer service. I will give you the benefit of the doubt for now... read more

I've been in the auto collision and restoration business for 45 years so I know what I'm talking about when I say Metalworks is a fine example of how to "do it right". I enjoy looking at their photo documentation. There, you find example after example of what extraordinary skills can produce. Do what they do and your own build will come out right. If you buy parts from their speed shop, their recommendations will save you a lot of grief. They've tried so many of the latest performance parts on their own builds. They are listed as the closest distributor for Tremec transmission in the Portland area. I contacted them about purchasing a TKX transmission for my 65 Chevelle SS. I was told to talk to Ryan in there speed shop to order the transmission. I talked to Ryan who gave me a quote but said that he would have to get back to me about availability. That was on 7/27/2021. A week later I called back since I had not heard from him, he said he was having trouble getting through to his contact and he would call me back. Another week goes by so I call him back and got the same story and that he will get back to me. Frustrated I called Silver Sports Transmissions, they are further away but gave me the same quote as Metalworks and helped me with making choices for the proper gear ratios and accessories which would better suite the set up I was looking for. They had my transmission delivered within the next two weeks, I installed it and it works better than I could have hoped for thanks to there recommendations. It is now going on three months and I still have not hear back from Ryan at metalworks, they need to work on there customer service and their knowledge of performance parts. They are a terrible distributer and representative of Tremec transmissions, this is the third transmission I have put into my classic car collection. the transmissions are great METALWORKS is the problem. read more

I love just hanging out in here, looking at the cars, parts, and race engines for sale... What I hate, is the incompetence of the guy working the front counter. Every single question I've ever asked him, he didn't know the answer to, didn't know how to help, and didn't know who to recommend... What's worse, is all the times he THOUGHT he knew, and sent me down the wrong path as well. He's just a kid who reads too many fakes online stories, and tries to pass them off as REAL WORLD IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE. They should fire their staff, (can't speak for the mechanics), and hire new guys to run the place. As long as that guy continues to work here, I will continue to buy my stuff elsewhere. read more
