Once inside, you know by the endless piles of metal, plastic, and textile commodities that you've just penetrated into one of the largest kinda-dollar-store emporiums that you'll probably ever be privy to. It's quite large, and you can find just about anything in here that you'd expect to find at a dollar-store, and them some. Half the goods made me wonder if there's ANYONE in the world in need of them, and the other half seemed perfectly practical and attractively priced. There's a ton of cooking wear and glassware that looks sturdy. You can buy metal stewing pots big enough to bathe in. Tea pots, French presses, carafes, cold and hot thermoses, meat grinders, cookie jars, ceramics, etc. There's a section for area rugs, a section for curtains and tapestries, a small toy section, watches and jewelry, a few electronics. They have a large collection of flags of the world for sale throughout the store, a few HUGE Iraqi and Mexican flags (which complimented the "I love Mexico" and "I love Iraq" custom designed sports caps available near the front). There's also an extensive collection of Arabic home decor and framed prayers (also ranging from a very humble maroon font on beige paper to more exuberant neon-lighted mirror text). If you're in need of something practical for around the house, esp. for the kitchen, this might be a fun place to hunt around for a good bargain before you resign yourself to the tawdry bowels of Target.

The delivery team caused significant damage--holes in my walls, scraped paint off my railings, and even ripped out ceiling light fixtures. When the company sent someone out to "fix" the damage, the repairs were rushed and poorly done, leaving my walls looking worse than before. To make matters even more frustrating, the owner contacted me with a dismissive and unprofessional attitude. Now I'm left paying out of pocket to properly repair damage that THEY caused. To top it all off, one of the movers behaved inappropriately and asked me for a hug. Completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, I don't think there will be another store like Honey Bins again. There are other liquidation stores in the area, but none are as fun or allow the freedom to open boxes and bags to look at the products yourself. I always wondered about profit margins, given how cheap it was to buy clothes, electronics, and household goods for under $12, with Monday afternoons only costing $1.50 per item. I think a handful of people got greedy and ruined the Honey Bins concept, especially professional scalpers and the unemployed who were there early every Friday or Monday morning. Some would take all the good stuff quickly and sit there the entire Monday until the items were discounted to $1.50. The same individuals would do this week after week. It was impossible for those of us who work during the day to beat these scalpers at their game. In hindsight, I would have been fine with more rules implemented to prevent that kind of behavior so that the physical store could survive and everyone could still enjoy these great deals. I found so many great products, from electronics to household items. Some of the brand new clothes in the first year and a half of the store's opening were good too. There will be an online Honey Bins store, but it won't be the same experience as searching through the bins. Thank you for a great two years of bargain shopping!

It would really help if the store's staff arranged the bins better. Many of the items were missing pieces. There were boxes in the bins unopened and without labels. I had no idea what was in them. Today, I saw a few foam mattresses, heaters, vacuums, and a few bookshelves that seemed to be great deals. It's worth visiting again. It's the kind of place that you'd have to visit often and on the days that they put more merchandise out.
