"That was a sale and the sale ended yesterday." I said well if the sale ended, then remove the sign that says 49cents/lb. He answers "Ma Bady" meaning I don't want to. Instead of being worried that his cashier was charging me an additional $3 that he may be pocketing, he is arguing over a few cents in the cost of the chick peas. I also found rice by the pound so I can make sticky rice balls at home in my tiny rice cooker. Living alone now means 5 or 10 pound bag of rice last too long. The kabob was very tender and juicy, with a charred outside, and the chicken tekka came by a close second as it was so juicy and flavorful. The tekka beef was a little gristly, but still very delicious. As the chef was pulling them off the skewers, he gave the meat a final sprinkle of seasonings. The meat came with two whole grilled tomatoes and three whole grilled small onions. I'm not sure how you're supposed to eat them since the onions still have their skins and roots attatched, while the tomatoes was very, very juicy. The fish was butterflied and grilled with similar spices added. It's still bone in, so nne careful while eating it! It was cooked perfectly.

When I politely asked if she could open it (as my hands were full), her response was "you've got two hands." Unacceptable. 3. Management: Requested a manager due to the cashier's behavior. The cashier initially just pointed vaguely "back there" and refused to assist further. Only when I held my ground and the line backed up did she claim to check, returning to say no manager or supervisor was available. This indicates a systemic lack of accountability. I was blown away to find that nothing has changed. Think about that: COVID broke the world, but Super Greenland held the line on prices, while still offering fantastic variety and quality. You can still get a bag of 8 of the freshest pitas you've ever eaten for $1.49: they're so fresh the bag still has steam in it. The baba ganoush is smoky and freshly made for only $3.49 a pound. Other deli offerings are similarly priced, and high quality. I'm not exaggerating when I say they have hundreds of spices and seasonings. I don't think twice about spending $4 for 1 ounce of cinnamon sticks at the supermarket; here, $4 gets you 6 ounces of cinnamon sticks. They have an entire aisle devoted to pickled things here. If it can be pickled, they have it here. And, do I have to tell you how much cheaper it is here than anywhere else? Oh, and do you like baklava? Of course you do. The variety of that alone is also impressive. I sometimes forget that this is also a regular grocery store. The produce is high quality, and nicely priced. With all the phenomenal middle eastern things here, I'm strangely disappointed that they also have boring things like Froot Loops, Ragu pasta sauce, and other mundane things. It's sort of like the opposite of the "international aisle" at a normal supermarket. I gave Super Greenland a great review before, but I actually think I sold them short.
