So, let me just start off by saying I am not a huge Metro fan, and it's not my grocery store of choice (I am a Farmboy girl), but it's starting to grow on me a bit more since they started carrying more vegan items that I cannot find elsewhere. If you are looking for lightlife & gusta brands, they have them here! :)
Parking is great here, and its usually not that busy.
The entry of the store is bright, and pretty large, but its also really packed with your produce section, bakery section, deli, prepared foods, and waaay at the back the seafood section all at the front of the store. It can get a little overwhelming, and I find myself getting in the way of the associates a lot of the time. I'm also not a huge fan of those little gates that you have to pass through when you enter the store. I find it super awkward with a stroller.
I also find this store, and a lot of Metro's are not as widely stocked with brands like a lot of other grocery stores, but they have the staples. Sometimes they have some good sales here, and sometimes I find their items super overpriced.
If you are used to shopping at stores like Loblaws, or Loblaws Superstore, then this store might underwhelm you. If you are into fresh produce, grandma style baked goodies and more of a farmers market/local type of vibe, then Farmboy might be the better choice.
With that being said, this is one of the nicer Metro's I have been to, unlike the St. Laurent location which is now closed, and I will probably be back on occasion for my vegan products or if they are having a really good sale on a particular item. read more
