In June of 2025 when I had a real estate transaction and needed a lawyer, I asked around and the name of MetroLaw office in Metrotown by Superstore came up a lot. I completed my purchase smoothly; the staff are great and the lawyer Ferhad Sean Amiri are very knowledgeable and helpful. Recently, I needed a legal counsel for a contract interpretation; once again, Mr. Amiri not only reviewed the contract with me carefully, he also perform a thorough search to make sure the legitimacy of the business entity. He even spent the time to give me a lot of recommendations on taxation and other important points for me to consider. This is above and beyond my expectation. Highly recommended! read more

This lawyer, Ferhad Sean Amiri was so incompetent, rude, and unprofessional, that I had no alternative but to report him to The BC Law Society. He embarrassed my wife in front of the staff, continued to discuss our personal financial information in the lobby, and was ignorant of the final disbursement. Please avoid this lawyer at all costs. I asked him to please stop discussing our personal business in the lobby when we went to pick up the check. He said we weren't his clients and that we didn't make an appointment, both of which are lies. He was completely ignorant that his firm had withheld funds for contingency costs, and when I asked him for a final schedule of payouts, it escalated to where he threatened to call security. Meanwhile, his clerk was trying to inform him that I was right, there was a second check. read more

AVOID this office . Terrible and incompetent people. Specially the junior lawyer. I found this office through the internet as it was conveniently located and near my work place. The lawyer ( Amiri) who was assigned to me was very rude and unprofessional person. He charged me right away for one hour of work ($300) even though it was only a consultation session ( 10 min) . He promised me to review my documents and said the overall work won't be cost more than $450. One week after, I had to follow up and found out that he hasn't even looked at my documents. Although we had a meeting coming up, he didn't spent a minute before hand to look at things. He scheduled a meeting and kept me 30 minutes waiting at the time of the meeting to scan through the papers quickly and printing. I had this feeling that he wants to overcharge and he is not competent in that matter, but because It was a small legal matter I ignored it. I have worked with other lawyers and nobody was this rude and arrogant. Even during our meeting he answered calls!! People were actually following up on their cases. He was even rude to other clients as well. After I expressed I am not happy with his level of service and asked him to tell me how much it will cost. he got agitated and started arguing , I asked him 2 times for his cost to get over with it, but he continued arguing and ignoring my question . He couldn't stop and said rude things like he doesn't care who am I and etc. I realized this doesn't worth my time and I had to leave his office and fired him. I am sure that there are many other eligible and good lawyers in Vancouver who knows how treat their clients. I am working in professional firm and never seen such a behavior. After all what should you except from an office that is located in front of the Super Store cashiers!!!! read more

My husband and I used Metro Law Office located in the Metrotown Mall when we sold our condo and bought another one at the same time. Our point of contact was Ferhad Amiri. Not only he provided an amazing service but he was professional and helped us throughout the process. The day we went in to sign all the papers, our two year old baby was having tantrums and crying. He took the time to be patient with us and made the whole process easier. He suggested my husband signing the papers first while I was calming our baby then we switched where I was signing and my husband was watching the baby. Then on the day of the completion, the seller's agent was rude and was not providing the keys on time and Ferhad dropped everything and dealt with the issue right away. He was just a phone call away and because of him we got the keys right away. After the completion date, he called us saying he had a cheque for us with a little bit of refund since all the fees were slightly less than expected. If there was some other firm, they would have kept the money, but Metro Law Office didn't, they were honest and refunded us which shows how great they are. Ferhad is our go to lawyer now. He is also helping us with the will for our baby and all our friends and family will be using them moving forward. If you need professional, reliable, trustworthy lawyers, call them. You won't be disappointed, that I can promise. read more

Lack of respect is indeed a problem that majority of people seem not to mind, although it poses a serious problem. In fact, when we tolerate this disrespectful behavior, it becomes a permission to the other to continue to be rude disrespectful and unprofessional. I've been to Metro Law Office LLP in order to notarise some papers and I was shocked by the disrespectful manner of Mr The Public Notary. Although the kindness and the professional manner of people at the reception office the public notary showed a disrespect and rudeness treating my papers. Saying hello, thank you and be respectful doesn't cost you money and it makes you feel that you are human before being anything else. Think about it. read more

If there was a "0" star rating, I would have selected that. About 17 years ago I went to Larry Routtenberg at this firm to have my Last Will and Testament and a Living Will created. It is now time to revise both of these documents. I phoned the law firm just moments ago, and was greeted by a very snarky woman who advised that I do not need revisions to the old documents BUT ENTIRELY new documents created - SINCE THE DOCUMENTS ARE SO OLD. I was perfectly fine with this - whatever needs to be done. It was her attitude and the way she was speaking to me that was a total disappointment. So, I said to her "so, it does not matter if I return to your office for my new documents or go somewhere else" and she said "no, it makes no difference". So, guess what??? I am going to go to another law firm. Perhaps this law firm needs to revisit its staff who are meeting and greeting the customers. Cuz, guess what??? Whether you are seeing a lawyer or a gas station attendant, it is a business. Repeat customers/clients should be valued. And, this firm, just lost a repeat "customer/client" due to the rude staff who took my call. It is funny as when I started to speak to the person who answered the phone, my opening remark was "I would like to make an appointment to see Larry Routtenberg" and the conversation went down hill from there. Hello there, I am a client of Lawyer Mr.Sean Ferhad Amiri from several years after separation and divorce, . He is a very knowledgeable, very helpful and supportive, lawyer. My experience is very good, trustworthy. Their administrative staff is very friendly and respectful. This office is located in a very busy crowded Metrotown mall. Lawyers in this office are very very busy helping clients so sometimes you have to wait for 10 minutes which is not bad at all. I strongly recommend Mr Amiri, for people who wants real good advice, reasonable fees, honest and efficient help for any legal work. The staff at this office are extremely unprofessional and rude. I called them to ask if they had an original will on file and they either slowed down the process or have conflicting information every step of the way. First we were told they needed a signed authorization form from the executor to release any information about the will - fine, that's understable. Then when we call them after not hearing from them for 2 days, we find out that they need a copy of the will to prove who the executor is. If they needed that why couldn't they have said that in the first place? After sending them everything and calling them numerous times we are finally told they don't keep original wills at their office. Dealing with them was a waste of time. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Avoid this law office at all costs! read more

Sorry but this outfit has issues. Slow. Give cost quotes for straight forward work and then overcharged me. Eith no reason. Made filing mistakes. If questioned on their mistakes they provide irrelevant excuses. They threaten with legal action if you don't accept their answers and excuses. Mr Armiri was my lawyer in a simple straight forward matter. Does not answer emails and threatens if questioned on obvious mistakes. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE. Definitely the worst lawyer office that I have ever seen for real estate transactions. Top dollar charge for the worst service. Don't be fooled by the location and their availability after 5pm. You will pay high price for the convenience in addition to the any cost incurred by their incompetency and extremely poor customer care. I paid Larry twice as much as I did for my previous lawyer for a refinancing. This is a group of lawyers who don't really care the customers but the money. read more
