They work very hard to help us older adults get fit and stay healthy, AND they are respectful, friendly and responsive . The exercise equipment is almost the same as you would find in very expensive studios, so why pay more for "the same thing?" The front desk staff used to be friendlier (they looked at people as they walked in) and more helpful (they could describe each class). Now they apparently have so much work to do on computers, that looking up at every person would interrupt their work so often that they couldn't accomplish enough. The sound systems in the gym have improved, and I'm glad that the leaders there don't BLARE the music at us. They usually provide music that is "age appropriate" for older adults. I wish that the volume in the upstairs studio were NOT so loud!

Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to make the $15 per kid pass worth it. I asked if they had hourly rates, or introductory pricing to see if they liked it and they didn't. I would have preferred to check it out before the investment. From the looks of it it looks like a massive indoor playplace. I would love to come back. They have memberships and I think if you have 5 and under kids this would be worth the price, but with my school age kids we would not take advantage enough. It is definitely something needed in this area of town.

Our daycare story unfortunately began really traumatically when we started our almost 4 month old…read moreson at the Bellevue La Petite location. Without going into it, we were horrified by how our son was neglected on his first day not only in daycare, but away from the only environment he's ever known at home. Thankfully La Petites have live feed video so we were able to see what was going on and intervene pretty immediately. We were frantically trying to figure out what to do after I picked him up early that day and my partner and I decided that under no circumstances would we bring him back there. I am so thankful that I had the mind to consider another La Petite location and looked into Papillion. Tracy the Director answered my call that day and before even trying to sell me on their daycare, she asked me what happened. She was so empathetic and validating, which is exactly what I needed that day. She did everything in her power to address the problems I outlined to her from the Bellevue location, and she encouraged me and my partner to come tour their school and meet the teachers and Assistant Director. So we did the next day, and we were immediately able to breathe again. Immediately, it is clear that they take pride in the cleanliness and organization of their school. Their procedures were so much more established and professional, but what was very apparent to me was the culture I observed that day and has been consistent every single day I've dropped off our son and picked him back up since starting him up in early July. It is very clear that everyone there likes each other and respects one another, from teachers to upper management. The longevity of Tracy and Erica's tenure at the daycare is also really telling. And overall, every single person I've ever encountered there are so friendly, empathetic, and genuinely care about my son's experience. They all know who he is and what he's like - he struggled quite a bit for the first few weeks, and that was really hard for my partner and me. Tracy, Erica, and the teachers all assured us that this is normal for babies to have a hard time adjusting, but they all do adjust. I really felt like I could trust that, and here we are a month later and he is doing so much better. He loves the teachers (special shout-out to Priyanka, Alhondra, and Steph!), he loves Tracy and Erica, and he very clearly feels more comfortable there. Overall, we're just so impressed with the care that our sweet boy has gotten at the Papillion La Petite. Everyone is so loving toward him and so friendly with us every single time they see us. I love how secure the facility is, everyone has a different code to get in the door, sign their kid in and out, etc, and the live feed and entire app are awesome. We really liked that every Monday, they posted the little lesson plan for the babies that outlined the developmental and cognitive skills they'd be working on, and they always send pictures and videos of what they were doing every day. The platform La Petite uses is great, but not every location is the same. This one is just above and beyond and has set the new standard for daycares we'll go to in the future, as a military family who inevitably has to move around. We are so, so grateful.

Common Ground is a family friendly gym that meets a diverse range of needs. I used to attend this…read moregym back in my high school days, but returning as an adult I can see just the hub of community that it has become. The variety of having a pool, a basketball court, a running track, lifting areas, cycling rooms, workout classes for members and guests, and more makes it optimal for all types of active people. The front desk staff is attentive and kind, very helpful if you need anything. The staff working the weights floor is mostly young teens, but they regularly clean and are available when needed. I have taken a few workout classes and absolutely loved it! There is a great amount of high quality equipment that is provided, and the space itself is very clean. Floor to ceiling mirrors allowed me to see my form, and to face the opposite way and still see the instructor. The instructor herself was friendly and uplifting, and kept the workout class moving while still ensuring we all understood each movement and what we were working. The staff came in and cleaned our mats afterwards, which is reassuring! The locker rooms are very clean and spacious in my opinion. There is always free space, and also three mirrors with vanity space if you need to get ready after your workout. There are also three showers, and an ADA friendly option as well. I highly recommend Common Ground if you are in need of a family friendly gym with plenty of variety and clean, updated, facilities!

The carido area is very spacious and offers a ton of machines though they can all become full fast during peak time. There seems to always be an area in front of a mirror to life and space to stretch on mats. It reminds me of the old westroads club. The kids daycare is great, the attendants are super sweet and caring for the kids. I don't love the locker room, but it does have ample lockers and rear end access to steam room sauna and pool. At the moment the splash pad is down so I don't have a reference on the pool but hope its a nice get away for us when the winter blues come around. Overall for the price it's a great deal to get the kids out and a work out in.

Regarding behavior and supervision, these concerns are not based on isolated incidents, nor are…read morethey issues that we have simply observed without reporting. We have reported problems to YMCA staff when they occurred. On several occasions, we spoke with front desk employees and were referred to staff members working in the particular area involved. We have also stopped and spoken directly with Zach, the facility director, about our concerns. Unfortunately, despite reporting these issues, we have continued to see many of the same problems. Some examples have included children holding other children underwater for concerning lengths of time in the pool, children running through and creating problems in the locker rooms, fighting and frequent profanity on the basketball courts, individuals standing on top of equipment in the weight area, and groups of kids congregating around the walking area and making inappropriate comments to patrons about their weight or physical abilities. Some of these behaviors are simply disruptive, but others have caused us legitimate safety concerns. For that reason, being asked to report these incidents when they happen is somewhat frustrating, because that is exactly what we have been doing. At some point, we would hope that repeated reports would result in greater staff presence, supervision, and consistent enforcement of facility rules rather than requiring individual members to continually identify the same types of problems. We also wanted to clarify our concern regarding classes. We understand from your response that additional classes have recently been added. However, from what we can see, only two additional evening classes were added. While increased daytime programming may benefit some members, it does not substantially address the concern of a working family that primarily needs programming during evening hours. When we originally joined Westview, our experience was quite different. There seemed to be more class opportunities, and the swimming area in particular felt much more controlled and supervised. The frequent unavailability of facilities has also played a part in our frustration. There have been many occasions when areas we would like to use, particularly the pool or gym, have been closed or unavailable. When combined with limited evening programming, it can make it difficult for our family to consistently use the membership in the way we originally anticipated. We have increasingly found ourselves going to other YMCA locations when possible, including Gretna, Armbrust, and Southwest. What is especially noticeable to us is that we do not routinely encounter these same behavioral and supervision issues at those facilities. We certainly understand that children will be children and that no public facility can prevent every incident. Our concern is the frequency of the behavior at Westview and what appears to be a difference in supervision and enforcement compared with other YMCA locations. We genuinely want Westview to be successful. It is the location we should be able to use most conveniently, and our survey feedback was intended to explain why our family's experience has declined rather than simply to criticize the facility. Pool is 25 yards long and always clean. I always find a lane available. Good weight room. They have an active presence of happy, motivated seniors. Teens play basketball, the middle aged play pickleball. I also see many young families enjoying an outing. In short, full of life. Staff always greets me with smiles--save for a lanky neurotic staffer who has a Karen demeanor. The overall rating is unjustified. I would give give it a 4.5 rating if I could.

I love the treadmills here, they have different videos you can program them to and it makes it seem like you are running through Australia, New Zealand, or somewhere in Europe. It helps keep my mind occupied when I'm running longer distances. I also like the large locker rooms that are kept clean throughout the day. I've also used the free weights and bosu here and I like that they offer these here. I do wish there was a designated area to stretch out before and after workouts. Another thing I wish that they would enforce more would be mask wearing for visitors. It is still risky being exposed to people especially while working out and we are breathing more. I am happy to have an opportunity to still workout during this time and I'm glad that the YMCA is doing what they can to accommodate people as well.

I came here for a group, as an instructor rented out this place to practice dancing. It is a good…read morespace, the floor is very slick. I have no complaints, other than it would be great if the air worked a little better! I noticed it was a little bit warm before we started dancing, and When we turned the two standing AC units on, they didn't help very much. If I come back to the space, I will make a note to turn these on as high as possible. The second I get there, to hopefully lower the room temperature.

I love that it is an Autism focused playground and recently found out there is a chain and one in my hometown. I really appreciated that there were tables and chairs available for parents to sit and watch or work while their child(ren) is enjoying the facility. We went on a weekday so it was not as busy but I suspect it would be on the weekend. Our kiddos had spent a few hours there and did not want to leave, which is a great sign. I recommend swinging by here if you have are in the area and need a break from the heat.
