They…read moreoffered 50 kids to swim for an hour and a half, each child had to do a swim test to see if they needed a vest, lifeguards watched the kids during the swim, they have a slide into the pool, staff was friendly and kind to kids. They allow outside food and drink to be brought in for the party. It was a great time for the kids and nice for parents to be able to get a free minute knowing lifeguards are on duty. There was a sitting area in the lobby with a large window to be able to see your kids in the pool space.

They work very hard to help us older adults get fit and stay healthy, AND they are respectful, friendly and responsive . The exercise equipment is almost the same as you would find in very expensive studios, so why pay more for "the same thing?" The front desk staff used to be friendlier (they looked at people as they walked in) and more helpful (they could describe each class). Now they apparently have so much work to do on computers, that looking up at every person would interrupt their work so often that they couldn't accomplish enough. The sound systems in the gym have improved, and I'm glad that the leaders there don't BLARE the music at us. They usually provide music that is "age appropriate" for older adults. I wish that the volume in the upstairs studio were NOT so loud!

Pool is 25 yards long and always clean. I always find a lane available. Good weight room. They have an active presence of happy, motivated seniors. I love the treadmills here, they have different videos you can program them to and it makes it seem like you are running through Australia, New Zealand, or somewhere in Europe. It helps keep my mind occupied when I'm running longer distances. I also like the large locker rooms that are kept clean throughout the day. I've also used the free weights and bosu here and I like that they offer these here. I do wish there was a designated area to stretch out before and after workouts. Another thing I wish that they would enforce more would be mask wearing for visitors. It is still risky being exposed to people especially while working out and we are breathing more. I am happy to have an opportunity to still workout during this time and I'm glad that the YMCA is doing what they can to accommodate people as well.

They had a good amount of rooms/machines, but it was difficult to find what I wanted and I asked for directions at the front desk twice. The building is large and not really set up for a gym as far as I could tell. Maybe this building is also some sort of school? There seemed to be lots of classrooms. When I found the weight room it was overall a good experience. There were 3 stair masters--I took the 3rd and last available. There were 2 squat racks--I took the last available. There were still plenty of open machines, but nothing compared to what I'm used to. The walking track is the biggest downside by fair in my opinion. There is about a 6" slope from one side to the other width-wise at one point which is not only inconvenient, but very dangerous in my opinion! I opted to get my steps outside, but there were plenty of treadmills available. The locker rooms looked fine although I didn't use them, I saw several options while wandering around looking for the gym. The front desk attendant was very kind in helping me find my way, I was very thankful they have someone on staff for this reason! I also wish there would have been free parking and sweat towels for use, as I am used to these things, but this may just be at my location. Overall I would definitely come back in a pinch, but will probably try a different location next time I'm in Omaha.

He has already made great progress in the short time he's been there and continually sees improvement each week. There are multiple class styles/levels to choose from when you sign up: Individual, group, or parent and child for the littles. Each one has a trained life guard teacher going through various, age appropriate/skill appropriate steps. All steps much be completed before moving to the next level. One thing we like about Swimtastic is that after each session, the teacher gives you feedback for you to work on with your children to master their current level. We'd recommend Swimtastic to anyone looking for swim lessons for both young and old swimmers.

We went on a weekday so it was not as busy but I suspect it would be on the weekend. Our kiddos had spent a few hours there and did not want to leave, which is a great sign. During a class session Matt was talking to another employee and pointed right at me. I asked what that gesture was about and he explained that he identified me as a "troubled" student. Being 60 years old and a PADI certified diver and taking the class with my son I find this action and attitude completely unprofessional. Matt doesn't have the professionalism to be an instructor. Matt should NOT be an instructor. So classless.
