The have a few optional spiced butters you can choose from, my favorite is the Cajun butter. The steaks all come with grilled vegetables that are also good with the Cajun butter. In addition to great steaks, they also have a nice selection of Tapas. They can be found on the back side of the menu. These are really good and it would be easy to have a meal entirely on a few of these. The scampi shrimp and goat cheese are my personal favorites. There potato wedges with sour cream are tops too. I've always had polite service. If you are in Mannheim and looking for a great steak, this is the place for you.

The steak was cooked perfect "medium", but the steak did not have much flavor (being that it's Argentine steakhouse). After adding some crushed black pepper and salt from the table, it tasted much better. The meat was tender but had a bit too much fat on it, so I had to constantly cut pieces around it. For my money, Maredo could be better average. Steaks were cooked to the right temperatures, even after we performed the linguistic gymnastics to accurately described what we wanted. The was a nice selection of side dishes and these were also at least average. The cuts of meat were plentiful and had a good balance of meat vs. fat even though they were not aged. Where Maredo disappoints is seasoning heir meat. I couldn't even detect as much as a pinch of kosher salt nor a single grinder twist of pepper. Just nothing to make the meat "pop". The other let down for me was dessert. I had been in Germany for two weeks and this was my last dinner before coming home. This was the first time I saw apple strudel on a menu so decided to go for it. What I received was something soggy and doughy that tasted and felt like it was fresh out of a microwave. Two bites and I was done, left the rest on the plate. If the chef decides to make a stop in the spices aisle of the local market and pick up some basis spices and they manage to get some fresh strudel, I could see the stars just flowing in.
