When I arrived at Dr. Galoyan's office tonight, I was fairly new to the very concept of medical insurance and all of its associated esoteria. My old carrier did a decent job of covering most medical services, but my current employer based insurance basically does not kick in until I have satisfied a significantly high deductible. Dr. Galoyan took the time out of his day to spell this out to me along with a few other insurance related questions I had at the time. Even though I was not prepared to cover an unexpected and significant medical expense, he heard me out and decided he would still help to diagnose my problem. Beyond that, he actually went ahead and administered treatment to the affected area as well as gave me a recovery plan. I was absolutely floored by his actions, and will not soon forget about his random act of kindness this evening. Dr. Galoyan is the standard bearer of what it means to practice medicine. How many people have hurt their feet or legs due to bad shoes? Sure, sometimes they look great, but they can really cause damage. Recently I visited Dr. Galoyan because I was wearing bad shoes which resulted in plantar fasciitis and shin splints and was extremely painful and kept waking me up during the night for months. Dr. Galoyan was very helpful and gave me the works. As part of my treatment, he prescribed a whirlpool bath, gel, ice compression along with anti-inflammatory. Needless to say, it helped a lot. We also made custom orthotics. Prior to leaving, Dr. Galoyan sat down with me and taught me several stretches for PT every morning. It's been a few weeks and my legs are almost back to normal. I'm back in the gym and taking care of my health and wanted to thank Dr. Galoyan for all of the advice, PT and help. Sometimes you take something as simple as walking fore granted. Dr Mike is honestly the best podiatrist I have ever been to. I called at 4 and by 5 I was walking into the office for the first time. The ladies in the front were extremely professional and I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes before being walked into the room. At that point the doctor came to introduce himself to me and returned shortly after the whirlpool. I was walked into the next room by staff. Upon observing my foot the doctor immediately identified the problem. He heard about by past medical history and gave his opinion on the best treatment options. I chose for treatment right there and then and shortly after I was walking out pain free. I can't believe this office was so close to my home. I find myself extremely lucky to be in his care. Was looking for a podiatrist near me following an terrible ankle sprain after playing soccer and the pain was continued to persist after weeks. Decided to give this place a shot and was impressed to say the least. The staff is very personable and welcoming. There was a bit of a wait and I was seen a little after my appointment time but it was worth every minute. Doc Galoyan is a very caring doctor that does his best to understand your situation and discuss treatment options with you and try to make you understand your different options and explain why he favors one course of treatment over another. I left the office feeling confident that my ankle was going to get better and about a week later my ankle was feeling much better. Prior doctors suggested me for surgery but luckily i found him and got treated without any surgery. My feet have been troubling me for a number of years, I have seen many doctors my problems were never really fully identified; and the root cause until I saw Dr. Galoyan and his trained friendly staff. In just a near month, I'm back to comfortably walking 5 plus miles a day; as the spring continues look to increase to 7 plus miles a day. Dr. Galoyan and his staff assisted with proper medications , proper footwear, proper insoles and a comfortable atmosphere to reheal, limited waiting time and a plus 1 customer experience. just now Dr. Michael Galoyan is extremely professional ! I got treatment for wart without surgery and flat feet with orthotics, he truly explains biomechanics joint and explains about the condition. Now I'm dancing on my toes...! I did suffer with severe pain with flat feet during time of COVID 19 lockdown but luckily his office was open and I could consult him. I am so glad I switched from previous Podiatrist to Dr. Michael as I call him. I am newly diagnosed with Diabetes and have severe arthritis and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome so my feet are not doing well to say the least. I found Metropolitan Podiatry on Zocdoc in 2020. When I initially called, they were booked and gave me an appointment for few days later. I explained my situation of ingrown toe nail and how urgent it was. They accommodated me and gave me a same day appointment. My experience from 2020 til now has been nothing short of Above and Beyond. Its a very clean facility. They get you checked in and with a doctor in a reasonable time. Unlike other doctor offices where you send a whole day. I would highly recommend my family and friends to Metropolitan Podiatry & Dr. Michael. Also he is a sneaker collector. Other doctors suggested crutches and Dr. Galoyan was able to get me mobile and as comfortable as someone with a broken toe could be. He was friendly and professional. His bedside manner is next level. He even anticipated my needs for an extra surgical boot so that I would have one for indoors and one for going outside. Friendly and accommodating, Dr. Michael Galoyan calmed my nerves the moment I came in with a broken toe. His staff is also lovely. I trusted him so much that I started bringing my mother to him and she absolutely adores him and his staff. They all make us feel safe, especially during this pandemic.
