Metropolitan Window Fashions is the perfect shop for someone like me. I need to have enough choice without feeling overwhelmed. The store is comfortable and inviting. The woman at the store was very helpful. She understood what I was trying to accomplish and showed me fabric that was exactly what I wanted for my window treatment. I also loved trying the remotes for the Hunter Douglas products on display! Once I bring my husband to the store it is going to be so easy to convince him this is what we want. read more

This is an update to a previous review. The consultation visit and appointment with the installer to complete the measurements was very fast. The installer "Scott" is incredibly professional and experienced. My order was custom Sheers, Blinds, and Shutters. There were some hiccups with the order but the owner "Bruce Heyman" is top notch. He was very helpful and resolved any issue quickly. He truly cares about his customers and wants to make sure they are satisfied. Overall, the product and installation was 100% to my satisfaction. The same installer who completed the measurements also completed the installation. Everything was measured and installed properly and looks great. read more

Received a partial installation since part of the order was taking a very long time to fulfill. I'm waiting over 5 months for shutters to come in and be installed. At this point I'm wondering do I really need them? I kind of lost my enthusiasm for this job. Too long from ordering to completion. Beware. read more

The service provided by Metropolitan Window was horrendous. We had our windows measured and signed a contract on April 1. It took approximately 8 weeks to have the drapes made. That was a reasonable timetable. But, the problems started there. They came to install them the third week in June. They could only do one window because there was a part missing for the rod for the second window. More importantly, they had measured wrong. The drapes ended about 1/2 way down the window when we had clearly communicated that we wanted them to the window sill, so, the drapes had to be remade, besides getting the missing part. That was another 8 weeks. When they finally came to install them in late August, they were missing the entire drape for the second window. The installer promised that someone would call me within days to let me know if they forgot to make it or just forgot to load it in the truck. Never got a call. We always had to chase them down to get the next piece of information. It turns out that they forgot to make the drape for the second window. So, another 8 weeks to get one drape. At that point, when they came to install, they only had the side panels. The valance was missing. That was actually made and just not loaded into the truck, so we were able to get it a few days later. After all that, we are not completely happy with the end result, but it's not even worth trying to deal with these people any further and the drapes are acceptable. Total time for 2 simple windows was 7 months. In all that time, we didn't get communications or apologies. We deducted $500 from the balance for our trouble which was what we hoped or expected the company to offer. We certainly will never use them again. read more

Terrible service, completely unsatisfied. When it was time to sell the staff was friendly, the designer was helpful. The minute, we got our order (which was ruined) the staff became rude and had attitude problem. Strongly suggest recommend everyone to stay away from this store. They are unprofessional and rude. They sent out two designer's to our home and both of them were rude, they moved our things and furniture and did not put it back. Terrible service! Strong Avoid, too bad we can't get our money back. read more

My overall experience was ok. I initially had a wonderful experience in the Paramus location. An older woman there was so pleasant and helpful. She gave us many wonderful suggestions for our three room project. We picked some designs and she booked the designer to come to our home. The designer Denise Detrani was a disappointment, she had no suggestions as a "designer" and just came in, measured the windows, had no real input on colors or options so we just picked and prayed it was what we wanted. She seemed in a rush and hurriedly sat down to write out the bill which totaled 3k. She spoke about having to go shovel her house, and left. The installer then came and one of the Windows was slightly crooked so there's a teeny gap with the blinds. No one explained this before placing order, would have liked to have a heads up on that. He was great and installed all three rooms quickly. I'm overall happy with the product but think a follow up call making sure we are happy would've been a nice touch. Especially when spending thousands. Might not be much to some but it is for us and the customer service could've been better. But amazing feedback for the ladies in the store!! read more

We purchased a unique vertical blind for our patio door. Metropolitan representatives measured the space, custom ordered the blind and did an excellent installation. My wife and I are very happy with the end result. read more

We really love our window treatment. However, the Sales Associate was not satisfactory. She did not respond to repeated phone calls. I later found out she was on vacation. She should have stated something to that effect on her voicemail!! Other than the Sales Associate, everthing went very well and we're happy with our window treatment. read more
