If the physician has guidelines to follow, then we should be contacted and communicated with regarding said guidelines. Not constantly being told by the front desk "Yeah, I saw that email and we did receive your paperwork, and we sent it to the manager for review. We'll give you a call back. Is this a good number?" Crickets. WARNING: This company retaliates when their back is against the wall by providing erroneously-filled out paperwork, and ONLY when they receive negative feedback. Best to avoid this unprofessional business who are scared to communicate when you need medical help. Here's my review: "I appreciate the physical care this location has provided, but the lack of communication is a bit concerning. Multiple emails and calls, with promises of callbacks and nothing on their end. When you provide a 10-day doctor's note, you should be able to back it up by filling out FMLA paperwork. It has 15 days to be filed, and this is my wife's job on the line. She had to provide me ADL, IADL, and emotional support during the time of the doctor's note, therefore making the FMLA very simple to fill out so I'm not sure what the hesitancy and lack of communication is for. I'm glad you don't have to worry about important paperwork being filled out for your own job security. NextCare Urgent Care it is. Find yourself a truly capable and strong women-owned business elsewhere for your care."

I was running behind, due to traffic and I called office, providing details, like where I was located and how long it may take, about an add'l 5-10 min and let her know (repeatedly) to inform Dr. Lutt, I will be more than 7 min late. I get there, meet with him and apologize. He said, they never told him anything. Prior to my appt, I tried to reach him, sent him facsimiles and gave his new phone number out to other doctors that need to contact him ASAP. He never got messages, nor received any of faxes, etc., it's disappointing to hear that his new support staff isn't supporting him. He is my doctor for several years, built good rapport and as usual, he did a thorough exam, we discussed upcoming plans in my treatments and care. I would definitely refer him to others.

This year, I made an appointment to have my blood drawn, and when I got to the clinic, they told me they didn't have an order from my doctor. Because of past problems with the Gunbarrel clinic, I had twice contacted my doctor's office in the preceding weeks to make sure the order was sent. It turned out that the order had been sent via fax 10 days before my blood draw appointment, but no one at Gunbarrel had entered the fax info into their computer system. This is perhaps an understandable oversight, but no one at the clinic knew enough to check the incoming fax file as the obvious source of error. I had to make follow up phone calls to my doctor and the Gunbarrel clinic, at which point, they finally checked their fax file. I suggested to them that they were utterly incompetent, and then the male drone at the front desk started to lecture me on civility with an unctuous "i have been trained in conflict management tone." He basically admitted that some of his staff need to be retrianed and then assured me that I had no right to be angry. It was like being trapped in a medical Monty Python skit. To this story, I would add the one time I went to this clinic for medical care--for an infected, inflamed cuticle on one of my fingers. The nurse practitioner started to lance it with a scalple without giving me any anesthetic. In simple terms, she was sticking a razor blade into my fingernail-- a tactic, as I recall, used by the Argentine military during the dirty war. These people are incompetent, but very cheerie in a smarmy customer service way. Stay away from this place. I will make a point of finding a new clinic to draw my blood in the future.

If you want YOUR decision to count DO NOT go here!…read more I was referred to Dr. Tynan for breast cancer. Upon first consult she gave us options and explained them in detail, we felt confident and comfortable with her bedside manner, abilities and trusted her expertise. The day of surgery we continued to feel confident in the surgical plan agreed upon. During my first post-op visit Dr. Tynan was a different person. I questioned her on why she performed the surgery in a manner not agreed upon and was unhappy with the outcome. She refused to answer my questions, made me feel incompetent, and not worth her time. Dr. Tynan continued to push me towards a full mastectomy although the oncologist didn't feel it was medically necessary after the initial surgery. I left the office in tears and no longer willing to trust doctors. When I called the plastic surgeon who performed the surgery with Dr. Tynan regarding incision concerns he stated he didn't want to see me for the surgical breast he didn't perform surgery on. I had an incision reopening and was informed prior to surgery his office would conduct all post-op care. Apparently he didn't agree with her methods as well but would not put my needs into account. I immediately transferred my care to the Anschutz Medical Campus where doctors were shocked with the care I received from RMCC and the way the surgery was performed. They also agreed a mastectomy was not necessary based on my history. I feel Dr. Tynan and her referred plastic surgeon knew they made a mistake and were pushing towards an unnecessary procedure to make them feel they could correct the choices they made against the plan decided during the initial surgery. I am so glad I did not follow their advice!! Dr. Tynan goes against the patient's plan and once she performs surgery she no longer cares about the patient!

It may take a while to be scheduled for an appointment initially, but *They are worth the wait*, and they are candidly upfront about the fact that you will need to have an urgent care or other doctor/clinic situation for immediate/emergency care needs. That being said, I have to say this was the best Doctor's visit I've ever had, by far! Dr. Tracy Schulsinger really took the time to go over in detail, any concerns/needs/questions, etc., that I had & provided explanations & resources accordingly. I left feeling I had gained a ton of information- without feeling overwhelmed, and Hopeful- with a solid plan going forward. From the kind & organized/efficient front staff, to the calming environment, to the fact that they even had someone taking notes during the session that I could refer to later, the experience was great & exceeded my expectations!
