Thankful for the Maryland State Police to check on me, when after 2 hours of waiting, the State Police said, we could call someone to pick you up. Indeed, they did. Wendall and his wife, Jennifer, came to my rescue, hooked my car up, and drove me to the town of La Vale, Maryland. Black Dog Towing's owner knew that there was a vehicle tire care center in La Vale opened on Sundays. Not only did we secure the vehicle at this care center but before that took place, we went to three hotels until one had an reasonable offer. Wendell drove me to the Tire Center, dropped of the car, and the drove me back to the Best Western hotel. Professional and down-to-earth operator with fair and an affordable price. We were on vacation and my car went over a rock while leaving a…read moreboat put-in area from a remote area, cutting my car's oil pan for which virtually all of the oil leaked out. As this happened late Saturday afternoon, we resigned ourselves of trying get our car towed to a service center that repaired VW's. After we received a lift back to where we were staying, this place was recommended by my insurance company. How fortunate for us as Mr. Johnston was not only able to tow our vehicle but said that if it was just the oil pan, he could repair it. He contacted several parts distributors for the part and after he replaced it, was able to determine that additional parts were required. To expedite the process and to ensure he had the necessary parts, he drove to Morgantown to pick up the parts. Unfortunately one of the parts would not be available for six weeks. Nevertheless the repair was satisfactory to drive back 200 miles and explained to my mechanic the dilemma and what he needed to do. If that was not enough, he called me the next morning to determine whether we arrived home as well as reiterated advise as to the precautions we need to take until ordered part would be received by our mechanic.

My car got stuck in my friend's driveway due to the ice and snow, meanwhile, I only had 32 miles left in my car's battery... John arrived 20 minutes after my call, got my car out of the driveway, and followed me to the nearest charging station. He waited with me to ensure I had enough charge before he left which he didn't have to do!!! He was kind, understanding, and very efficient. I called the local AAA certified mechanic, and he referred us to Steve at Action Towing. Steve was responsive, kind, and considerate. He jumped into action. We were very lucky that Steve Davis, owner of Action Towing was called to the scene to pick up our car. We could not get a rental car since it was after noon on a Saturday and the only full service rental car agency in the county had closed for the weekend. Steve called around for some other alternatives and when those did not bear fruit, he went to incredible lengths to make sure we had a vehicle to drive for the remainder of the holiday weekend and beyond if we needed it. Steve went above and beyond on our behalf and I would highly recommend Steve to everyone. He really cares about his clients and goes out of his way to help in any way he can.
